Many people think they need to conserve grenades. Heck, seeing as almost every covenant carries grenades what you really need to worry is setting off chain reactions with grenades laying around on the ground.

Frag grenades you should conserve a little more.

Wow, this is interesting. For what i've read, many people play differently. Just an observation. I'd add my own tips but (1) i can't be bothered and (2) finding your own way through is a lot more fun and rewarding. You'll get there, just keep playing.

I posted the most Fail-safe way to get through the levels. Now I've gotten good enough to just go Rambo and run into a room and Headshot/Stick everything...Try doing AOTCR on Legendary ON FOOT....Go Go Sniper Rifle! Thats awsome...Killing tons of vehicles and hunters and mass enemies on foot....Lol good times.

I think the hardest part on Legendary (by-far) was when you first enter the Truth and Reconciliation's gravity lift bay...You know, when 4 Stealth Elites with swords pop of every door at once followed by Zealots.

You think it got what it takes to be..?.

God forbid you send me one of those I was checking for cool gamers and saw you messages too, I will scream to the top of my lungs and smash this damn screen/BlackBerry to pieces! You've been warned -_-

Enemy Classification.

Grunts: Basically shoot them with anything. Move side to side to distract their accuracy. Always aim for their heads.

Jackals: Keep a plasma pistol to lower their sheilds or a pistol to aim for that little gap on their sheilds.

Elites: Elites like most of the covenant is ultimately vulurable to plasma even on legendary. Keep a plasma pistol handy. Have them pin you down and don't worry. One weakness I found is fighting them close range. Wait for their jumping melee, before they hit you, move to the back of the elite and melee him for the finish (This will not always work because an elite has 3 different melee attacks).

Hunters: Keep either a Sniper Rifle, an AR, or a Pistol handy. Always fight them close range and move sideways to dodge their melee. Always aim for the orange spot.

Flood: It is certain to keep a shotgun in hand. However the Pistol is the second strongest when dealing with the flood.

Sentinels: They will instantly die with one charged plasma shot. It is either plasma pistol or shotgun.

Enemy Wraith: Their will either be a Rocket Launcher or a vehicle (Banshee recommended) Use that against them.

Enemy Banshee: Do the moving target trick as if you are fighting an elite but I recommend using a pistol or a shotgun.

Tips:

1:Preserve weapons by picking them up and dropping them.
2: Keep moving! Do not make an easy target of yourself. Move side to side.
3: Use enemies weakness against them. The only way you'll move foward is to identify the enemies weakness that I just explained.
4: Always look for cover. Take them out one by one.
5: Only use a health pack when your health is at red. Save health packs when you really need it.
6: Make careful checkpoints. In Halo, a checkpoint will occur when you arrive to a scene or when you are clear of enemy forces.
7: The Halo pistol is a very powerful weapon that should be kept most of the time.
