Hello there everyone, I have read most of the threads here and I have yet to see this interesting comparsion brought to light. See here:

Exhibit A: The Halo 3 trailer, I will not post a link for I believe all of you reading this have seen the trailer by now. Master Chief (or whoever it may be) was in Africa in a barren wasteland so it would seem. Also he/she was wearing a more brightly colored armor. However, this isn't the first time we have seen this...

Exhibit B: A Halo Wallpaper , this shows Master Chief (or whoever it may be) in a barren wasteland with some vehicles. Also note his/her armor is about the same as in the trailer. Could this be just Coincidence?

I just wanted to bring this to light for those who have not seen this relation.

I think everyone knows about that. BTW, Desert Brigade is an artwork made before the 360 was around.

the gloves are different, just have to point that out. BUt Ibelieve you a little bit because since halo 2 came out and that wasn't a level, I always thought that was a halo 3 pic that bungie had created for a secret hint !

The color is just about the same, with a layer of sandy dust on it could make the difference, however the Spartin in the traler for H3 has different gouges in there armor, check the chest plates. Also the Spartin in the H3 trailer has different gontlets. But yes they are very simalar, that picture you posted I have the actual poster and seen as that part was never in H2, (an attack across a deserd) I always asumed it was from H3 or the ending we never got in H2.

Bungie EXPLICITLY said that that wallpaper had NOTHING to do with the Halo games, at all.

It was the artist's last work at Bungie, and was made solely independant from any relation to the game.

Halo_freak is right: "Bungie EXPLICITLY said that that wallpaper had NOTHING to do with the Halo games, at all.

It was just something an artist did before the end of their time at bungie.
