I do find it slightly annoying, for, if you have nothing to contribute to the thread, you shouldn't post. If a post contributes nothing to the thread, it probably can be considered spam. Even if it is acceptable, I see no reason to do it, but it is almost certainly frowned upon, at the very least. Why reply to a thread if it does not interest you in any way?
In some cases, posts saying something along the lines of "I don't care" may also be considered off-topic. If, for example, a thread asks for your favourite games, then a reply stating, "no one cares," is not answering the question in any way, as well as being rather rude and irritating. You should also "respect your fellow members," and I do not consider "I don't care" particularly respectful.
There's nothing wrong with no caring, or being neutral about something, but if you do decide to post that that is your stance on the matter, I think you should at least attempt to elaborate, by giving reasons, for example, rather than simply stating the fact that you don't care.
