Drowning...Nothing scares me more. I'm not afraid to go swimming, but just the thought of not being able to get up for air...Scares me.

Drowning eh? I've been SCUBA diving before and had my air hose yanked out when it got caught. At 60 feet down, in the bottom of Deep Cove. I had to get a friend's air hose and make the slow move up to surface. That was a horrible minute, as the air was rushing out of my tank.

Not fun, since you can't go up 60 feet as quickly as you'd think, you'd black out first, and then drown.

--What am I afraid of, maybe it sounds egotistical, but I fear mediocrity.

Great. One more thing to haunt me while I sleep dream of my own death.

Post snipped by Moderator.

No pithy remark required. It's davester again. He'll probably be gone for good within a few weeks.

Agreed. The thoughts going through your brain while you feel your lungs burning for air, the impulse to open your mouth to suck in whatever is out there, even though you are fully submerged under water....

*shivers*

I do love swimming though. Nothing is more relaxing then exerting yourself fluidly, without the constant pounding on your knees that running provides. Same goes for biking and skating. Ahhhhh.....

There are three things in this world that freak me out.

1) Torture of any kind (especially of the twig and berries).

2) The upsidedown staircase spider-walk with blood spewing out of mouth from Linda Blair, in The Exorcist.

3) Whispers -from children and other horrid things.

I suppose what I am most afraid of is isolation. Y'know, no noise...no activity. Just nothing.

The ocean.

It's huge! i'm not afraid of drowning or going to the beach, or even being on a ship. But just seeing a perspective of being out in the middle looking into the water. or if you were out there just kind of floating around. whoa...

Two right off the top of my head.

1. Finding yourself floating around the middle of the ocean all by yourself.

2. Being damned to hell for eternity, think about it, eternity. No end, just stuck there rotting and suffering.

Im terrified of multiple assasins trying to kill me in my home. Those are the only nightmares I have and I can never escape.

Im afraid of any kind of assasins trying to kill me. Sometimes I have nightmares about ninjas, millitary commandos, mofia hitmen, gangster hitmen, Vicious animals they are always trying to kill me me and cant be slowed. They always comethrough my front door and I always become horribly weak as soon as I see them. In my nightmares I can never run or fight all I can do is embrace a terrifying and painful death.

I dont think I would be very brave if someone was actually in my house trying to kill me. lol

funny thing is, I dont fear death, just assasins. now I cant sleep cause I think assasins will kill me in my sleep. :( thanx alot.

-total isolation
-the dark i have almost a phobia of the dark
-the fact that me my needs and my problems pertain to my own little word that in the grand scemm of things is worthless miniscuile and ultamently pathetic.
-drowning
-the thoght of imortality
-death my own and of those around me
-high places
-being slowly burned alive
-slowly succumbing to a desease

thats all i can thingk of right now.

-loved ones dying. ( I would rather sacrifice myself then to have to see one of my loved ones die again)

The funny thing is that it is very probably that your loved ones are willing to the same for you

Something that scares me very much is the thought of something poking in my eyes (sticks, fingers, things that can make your eyes go goo)

Wow. My thread survived the night. Cool.

The dark makes me a little nervous because it's so easy to hide in. I like hiding in the dark but I don't like wandering around in it.

The thing that would be the worst way to go for me is, being a comfined room that slowly moves in. you know you will die a very painfull death.
