Subject: When is Reflection getting removed from MM?

Reflection is pretty bad but I don't want a choice of three maps in every playlists. I don't want it to be like snipers.

Just out of curiosity...

If you pay attention to the carnage report, nobody got a kill until more than 6-7 minutes into the game. That's because Red Team got rockets and hid in Shotgun.

Sanuel, I'm getting worried about you =/ Your threads are getting pointless and it makes me feel like you're terrible and a noob in game by posting things like this =/

He who cannot command himself should obey. And many can command themselves, but much is still lacking before they can obey themselves.

Typical "new age" Halo player complaint.

"Halo should be more noob friendly. I mean, it's not even fair another team can control the map! Fix this!"

Wow...

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

No, that's exactly what it is. Guess what? Rockets run out of ammo. How do they continue to camp with rockets if they don't have ammo?

Dumb-dumb... This is what I'm talking about. These new Halo players are a joke.

  • 12.31.2011 3:21 PM PDT

Not really. Sanuel is hardly a noob at Halo.

It's that shotgun is so long range and rockets have such a large blast radius that in a 2v2 environment there is literally no way to combat them without practically committing suicide.

If you know anything about Reach, which seems unlikely, then I'm sure you are aware that red team is guaranteed the first set of rockets on Reflection. From there, they (the team Sanuel is posting about) proceeded to camp shotgun ramp with the game's first set of rockets, with the opening kill happening "more than 6-7 minutes into the game". If you truly believe that red team is executing map control well, then you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.

If you're going to try to assert your point, having a basic knowledge of what you're talking about would be helpful.

You're kidding, right? Check my stats, dumby. Tell me I don't know about Halo. I was playing Reflection before you heard of Halo 3.

So Red Team gets first set of rockets and kills you with every rocket they had. Then what? You let them get the rocket respawn? If you did, you're an idiot (which, I'm guessing is what OP is complaining about). If you didn't, their "camping" strategy just went out the window.

Use your head.

Switch spawns like in multi team. Where I forgot what color teams, but they both spawn at the bottom. Giving both teams an equal chance at rushing the power weapons and gaining top map control.

No, he really is.

Investing obscene amounts of time in to a game =/= "good" or "seasoned." Judging by how much this kid plays Reach, he should be a helluva lot better than he is.

The complaints about "camping" with certain weapons is downright retarded. You know those weapons run-out of ammo, yes? You know you have just as much of a chance grabbing the respawn as they do, yes? I get the complaining about Red Team getting rockets first, but that accounts for 10% of the game. What about the other 90%?

More losses than wins on your front page tell me all I need to know.

Please, please, please read the OP before you reply again. Red team was camping with the game's FIRST SET OF ROCKETS. They didn't assert map control for that weapon, their spawn gives it to them with no way for blue team to contest it.

And if you look at the carnage report, you'll see that San had two (2) rocket kills. Ergo, blue team controlled rocket spawn once red team expended the original set.

"More wins than losses"... What are you talking about? That's how nit-picky you got once you saw my K/D, huh? Nice...

No, OP was complaining about people camping with rockets and shotgun, not just during the beginning of the game, but camping with them in general. Funny thing is, if OP was Red Team, camped with rockets and shotgun, and won the game; not a peep would be made by him on these forums.

Buncha' whining babies on here.

Here's what's funny... You play with a full-team all the time yet your K/D is still terrible. How is that even possible running with teams?

W/L tells a lot more about a player than K/D.

The issue isn't that red team was camping with rockets and shotgun; well it is, but not completely. The issue is that blue team has no chance to contest for rockets, because given the chance they clearly would have taken them instead of red team, thus leading to a much less campy game.

Evidently, you don't get it.

Ivory Tower in Halo 2 was more balanced because there was a chance to kill the guy with rockets off spawn. Plus, Rockets weren't so overpowered and the shotgun wasn't a longrange rifle. In Halo 2 this tactic wouldn't have worked, because shotgun didn't spawn there, but putting shotgun in a small tunnel area of the map and giving it to one team automatically with rockets will lead to this stupidity. This is not good gameplay.

I doubt Sanuel even cares that this tactic was used against him; the problem is that someone could use it in the first place and have success (or at least, in this case, tie for a while)

Wrong. Rockets are practically guaranteed to red team. And yeah, we won, but I didn't find that game very fun due to how much camping there was.

  • 12.31.2011 4:04 PM PDT

It's OK for Rumble Pit but don't really like it for team games.

  • 12.31.2011 4:13 PM PDT

I don't know San, but I feel like we should keep that Non-Forge world map and fix spawns and weapons.

  • 12.31.2011 4:20 PM PDT

THATS MY COOL MAN I CAN'T TAKE IT OFF!

It definitely needs a revamp but it shouldn't be removed. The reason it's so campy in its current state is because there's no reason to leave balcony; you can control everything. Sniper respawns right at your feet, you can pick off anyone going for rockets long before they actually get them (while easily covering your guy), and shotgun spawns right under you as well. Usually you only have one shotgun respawn to worry about anyway, thanks to the retarded weapon settings.

Rockets at back wall 1, snipe at bottom health, tele from default rockets to default sword. MLG initial spawns.
