You would agree with me that the trailer was crappy.

Yes, the graphics, music, and the assault rifle were kickass. But how in the world are you planning to promote a game based on a trailer that just shows the MC walking to a pit and seeing it light up? Honestly, the campaign for halo 2 sucked. The only reason it was'nt a complete failure was multiplayer and Live. So in my opinion, Bungie better do a REALLY good job on the campaign - otherwise I don't see the point of getting a 360 and Halo 3.

Anyways, for all you people working hard to figure out what the deal is with the whole covenant thing...don't get your hopes up. If you remember correctly from the Halo 2 trailer, there was something about a huge war on earth and some cruiser that the MC was trying to get into. The marines also were used some kind of weapon/technology that let them stun the covenant for a few seconds . What I'm trying to say is that the trailer had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL GAME. So I don't see why you're wasting your time going around and trying to make up some really stupid theories. The trailer was just a tease, not some big easter egg that is going to reveal the plot of the game.

"My knee is bleeding, can I have a bandaid?" "Today its your knee, and in 10 years it'll be your wrists, why are you making this my problem?"

Do this again and I'll brand your ass with the banning prod

It was only a teaser trailer to let us know, that Halo 3 is in production. If you read the big announcement on the frontpage of this website, you will read that it was not used to show AI and all that kind of stuff.

For a TEASER Trailer, it was GREAT!

Now conform with my ideas.

If you read the front page it did reveal the basics of the plot. The mastercheif is on a conquered earth and cortona in another galaxy and the Covanant have dug up a large forunner structure (my guess the ark) and if you remember the first Halo2 trailer it came out almost just like the first level in Halo2 where MC jumped off cario station. The trailer was great, muisic and all. This forum was put here for us to talk about what could and will be in Halo3 so if you don't like peoples theorys then don't read them.

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

If I wanted to be honest I would say that your facts are opinion based and useless. My opinion was that the announcement was beatuiful and crushed any thought of getting a PS3 I had in my mind.

Also, H2 wasnt a complete failure in campaign, overall H2 was far more influential than the events that took place in H:CE. Also, the story has infinitely more depth with the Arbiter and Gravemind.

You opinion is that of a closed minded and blind fool. You come on a H3 board which is obviously rampant with H3 fanbois and try and tell everyone that the biggest two minutes of the last two years sucked.

Go play Yu-Gi-Oh on the new iToy mate, I wont stop my deathmarch across the African savannah in 2007 to think about you.

The trailer comes from about a third of the way through the game so yes it does have something to do with the campaign.

Although his OPINION may be different than yours, in no way did he begin to insult the people that enjoyed the trailer. Of the two of you, I would have to say that it is YOU who is being closed minded.

I respect others for having an opinion, as I said before but this is tactless. Plenty of people on here will have things that they didnt like but to come on now and say H2 sucked and H3 needs to prove itself worthy because Bungie dropped the ball is asking for trouble.

Like I said, go play PS3 if you think Halo is in dire straights and worthless.
What is worse? Coming on here and analysing every pixle in the hope of finding a game clue or coming on here (now of all times) and questioning the game? They seem the same to me.

If your reasoning for not getting a 360 is that Halo 3 will suck, then...

Well, if I wanted to be honest I'd be breaking a few rules. I'll just say that's a stupid reason and leave it at that.

I think you will find that you are about the only person with this opinion. Without rehashing too much, it's a TEASER. BUNGIE has said very explicitly that they did not want to have the trailer / annoucement restict developement.
