SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Once again, let's not derail this topic talking about a specific user. Discuss the topic at hand. Go to PMs if you just have to continue arguing.

OT: I don't care about ranks, and would never let them define me. As such I'd say this topic is N/A for me.

You're disappointment in me really hurts, brah. It chills me to the bone knowing that I have said something that disappointed you.

So, what you're saying is that, the impression I have given you of the group has meant that, when your time comes, you won't be interested in actually joining?

Interesting, interesting.

Obviously not everyone is mythic, the requirements are to be mythic to join, not to always keep mythic.

-blam!- happens, people lose their mythic, they get banned, whatever, you still stay in the group, that would be silly to kick people for losing it.

EDIT - As for the topic, if I were to rank everyone, I would probably consider join date one of the main factors. It has nothing to do with experience on the website, but age. If most people make their accounts anywhere from 10-14, 6+ years is a good place to rank people.

Also "mr. Mythic", there are people in Mythic group that are NOT Mythic members.

*cough*

The ranks for Bungie.net, and the rest of the world, are as follows:

Intelligent People
Dumb People

Why would certain ranks require mythic status? That would imply the title system has any accuracy

So you wouldn't mind giving you your blue bar then?

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

Pfft, ranks. When I've clawed my way to the top of this mountain, will I care about ranks? Hell no, I won't!

Why not? I shouldn't have it. I've hardly posted over the past 4 months, certainly less than at least one legendary member.

Unless the bar says "Floodian," you can have it.

The Rest

I'm sorry. I believe you mean me, and then the rest.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think ranks are fun things to get, leveling up is something that lets you feel good and everyone always wants the cool title (Mythic). But a title doesn't make you who you are or how you post, you do.

But I can understand why people are proud of their titles. They are there to show dedication to the site to newer users and with that "experience". Though this is not always the case, it can be somewhat accurate.

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

-The cool kids
-Those other people

  • 12.31.2011 10:28 PM PDT

-The people I hang out with.
-Everyone else.

Sorry, my creativity sucks when it comes to these kinds of things. I also don't like "categorizing" people. It makes me seem like some evil dictator.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

No; too vague.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

I'll be in the "Supreme Commanding Colonel Lieutenant Admiral General's" Group.

EDIT: Happy Bungie.net New Year!

The one's you listed seemed pretty vague because it was only for high-ranking members and what not and the forum titles are basically your rank(even though they mean nothing).
