When did Keyes get onto the Covenant ship? And what was the giant blob that Keyes was part of? I was thinking that the flood were creating a gravemind.

He got there when the Flood carried him....or rather his biomass there. That blob was a proto-gravemind, so yes, they were trying to create a Gravemind.

Why are you here?

You should read Halo: The Flood .

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

He was captured by the Covenant. When? I don't know the exact date or time.

Its been a while since I've read The Flood, but go to the Halo wiki, you'll probably get your answers there.

Thanks for the good feedback! Maybe I will read the book. I have never felt like reading the books. I feel that its unnecessary information, and that it starts fights about what is cannon. I guess I'll read it though :)

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

It said on the terminal that covenant captured him, but it was really the flood.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

He was captured by the Flood in the installations in 343 Guilty Spark. It is assumed the Flood carried him to where they had a proto gravemind which was T&R.

Not exactly, Keyes assumes he's been captured by the Covenant because he can't remember anything.
"Covenant captured me, didn't they? I... I can't... I can't remember..."

It's just a case of dramatic irony, not what the Terminal is saying, it's what Keyes is assuming.

Yeah, if you want your answers you'll have to read the flood, shame it's the worst Halo book.

I really enjoyed it, as I read each chapter I would play the game in tandem and it was an amazing experience.

Reading of Chief's thoughts and then playing that same level is a type of depth I'll never be able to find, it's like giving a video game the depth of a book but... being a video game.
