What do you guys think? Will becoming a better forger and learning how to make more creative multiplayer maps help you become a better player in-game or not? Take the poll and tell me what you think :)

Hey, uh, if you like vs threads, then check out this little group right here, if you have the time. It's pretty fun, just hop right in.

I use Forge all the time and my K/D is still only 1.01.

So, probably not. At least for me.

How does making maps help you with killing people? The only way forge can help you become a better player. Is when your using it to study the maps in matchmaking.

So you need to look beyond the killing aspect of things. In forge, a good forger will think about how a map will more than likely be played in a certain gametype. And as you become a better forger, the way you play on maps may change and you may be able to get more kills while playing in matchmaking. To become good at any game, you need to know how to run maps by controlling a certain point on the map to gain what you need. For instance flanking power or overall control of the spawns.

fear me, for i am pro sauce

if you used it to learn spawns and spawn times for weapons then probably, if you use it just to create maps then no, knowing how to make a good map is pretty useless on a map that has already been made

Forge itself can be helpful, not necessarily making maps from scratch. Examining things like spawn points, objective placement and lines of sight in Forge can all help you improve as a player if you understand why things are set up the way they are.
