If the average IQ score out of a sample group is 35, you don't call that "average", you call that "severely mentally retarded".
Average doesn't mean "middle" in this case.
Who's taking about sample groups? Isn't this discussion about K/D in the context of the entire Reach population?
We can't know the average K/D of the entire Reach population. But still, average doesn't always mean "middle", it means "aggregate". If the average K/D was bad, you don't call that "average", you say "the average Reach player is bad".
It also relies on what standard you use to determine good and bad.
I interpret "average K/D" as "mean K/D of all Reach players past and present".
Perhaps you find the average Reach player subjectively "bad" because you can easily beat someone with a K/D of about 0.99, but objectively, an average player is neither bad nor good.
You might also find a player with a K/D of 1.3 to be "bad" because you're still much better than him, but objectively, since his K/D is higher than the mean of 0.99ish, he is "good".
