Alright, here's my idea of what would be an amazing ending for Halo 3.

I think the humans (sided with the elites) should save the Earth from being infected by the Flood. The brutes, knowing they can't beat the humans and elites together, would find a way to activate the halos and wipe out all life in the galaxy.

The humans would be victorious but in the end it wouldn't matter because everything, including earth and all the covenant, would be wiped out. Maybe MC could take off his helmet, but all you would see would be the back of his head, then the halos would be activated and he would die. It'd fit well with the story in my opinion - MC is undefeated, nobody can stand up to him, and nothing can kill him except the activation of the Halos.

The end of the Halo series, the end of the universe. What do you guys think?

Umm everyone dies? That's lame...

Halo 3: Collapse
Chapter 20, Revelations, is up (update 11-14-10)
The Mirratord

Ω

Something tells me that the Ark is immune to the effects of Halo, but that does sound like what I was thinking. To an extent.

You think? Too many games end with somebody saving the world, if MC won it would be way too predictable.

I don't think it's a lame idea. It would be the must unexpected ending. Just think about it, it would show the Halos activating and everthing dieing, then it would just be the planets and stars and stuff with no life, and the credits would come up.

Not with no life. Irony: Halo 04 would have been the one to purge the Grunt homeworld, so they're all that's left.

Everyone dies would be amazingly blunt, poetic maybe. Definitely cause a stir, possibly riots. My thought about earth is that maybe the planet is the ark and the big blue thing in the ground in a engine....but that seems silly, why move a planet?

lol the earth is a very big spaceship, and it can go very very fast and if the rings are activated, the earth goes to another part of the universe, where everybody stay alive:)

NO

Unecspected, yes, fun, no. Better to see the Halos activate either when everyone who is on the good side is inside something protective or in something shown to MC, the arbiter or whoever is watching via a video, but end all life? no, no and simply NO

The is propably immumme to the Halo's, spesifcly build to keep alive as many species as it can sustain. The Covie aren't the only ones who got the story wrong, the Bible was way of track as well, the world wasn't sweeped cleann by a titalwave but by Halo, the Ark wasn't a boat but a (this part of the message was deleted for revealing vital aspects of a game that has yet to be released).

i slap u

that would be the wrost ending ever. If everything dies what wsas the point of it all? why fought millions of enemies, been shot, and stopped the activation of 2 halos! ( 1 as the Mc, other by the elite). All that work for nothing

err whats up with that last part? the ark is a safe haven to escape halo's wrath? is that it?

  • 05.11.2006 8:40 PM PDT

You have free time... do you spend it or save it?

I think that the ark, when the massive light starts shining is just turning on, Guilty Spark siad it controlled all the Halos, not that it was a weapon. I could sit here for hours telling you multiple endings and such, but my brain is going to exploded, literally, i might have an anuerism, because i really cant talk about halo 3 too much, because it hurts so bad, but i think that the galaxy will be saved, because when people asked if this was the final Halo game they didnt say no, they said it will conclude the story of the Ark.

If youre in slipspace will the activation of the Halos still kill you? (rhetorical question) That could tie in interestingly...

were you high when you made this thread or just incredibly stupid?

This would be the perfect ending:

The MC saves Earth from the Covenant (blah blah blah), then he wakes up finding out that this 4 year or so journey was only a virtual training course!! Now, the real action begins! (and Bungie would have another 2-3 games on their hands when everyone thought H3 would be the end. And now Bungie would be albe to make a totally new story for the MC's journey (again) ).

The perfect ending of Halo: BOOM!!!!

The ark is destroyed, the Halo's stop recieving signals from it and deactivate. Permanent! After the biggest Flood (or other newly introduced common enemy) attack imaginable the remnants of humans and Covenant (no brutes since their furry arse got kicked in H2) restore peace to the galaxy. The only thing standing between war and peace between the Covenant and man kind is the Prophets. The elites see no reason why man kind is to be eliminated (see H2 booklet) The Prophets have betrayed the elites by firing them as honour guards and replacing them by the Brutes. The elites will not take orders from the Prophets because of that and because any single thing the Prophets said turned out wrong. Even the opening of the Ark proved to be only harmfull. And since most of the Covenant species greatly look up to the elites all species will follow the elites into peace with humans.

The end (yes indeed, the end of the Halo series. Bungie can not go on stretching the story any longer, they just can't)
