avatars, (old?)stats etc.

reason enough for a microsoft lawsuit...

Better change it in "Destiny" style (not just the background) and prepare for lots of MMO stats (if the rumors are true).

But first: scrap halo

Find me anywhere with Pogo947

because Bungie still made Halo. Halo is still their baby so to speak. There is no reason for a lawsuit, as they are not violating any laws.

Key

get rid of halo avatars. and myth ones. and marathon ones. all we have are septagon pics, the number seven, crimson avatars, the default, and a few others.

  • 01.01.2012 1:41 PM PDT

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

No, dont scrap Halo forums. For stupid complicated reasons i will never be able to have a proper account on 343 with the right name, and besides, i enjoy speaking to fellow Halo 2 fans here.

So dont scrap it

Steve said "it's cool... for now".

At least that is what the cat on the dumpster near work told me. He's usually pretty reliable on these things. Except for that bit about the spaceship hidden in the comet. He was way off on that.

Because Microsoft, with their thousands of lawyers, and Bungie, with their small team of lawyers, have all neglected to take action on this, and you, someone who is not a lawyer, thinks something is illegal.

Who the hell do you think I am?

Lawsuit? Are you serious? 343 consists of Bungie employees.

  • 01.01.2012 1:49 PM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Yeah, like... 3? Maybe 4. Besides, that's not even a valid argument anyway. Not to say the the OP's reasoning was valid either.

  • 01.01.2012 2:09 PM PDT

Ah, someone leaked. Now to find the leak and.... plug it.
With justice.

I use coup 5
Never Played halo 1 = Invalid opinion
Bloom isn't whats broken, its your idea of what good is and your opinion
Thats like saying uber nerf armor lock because like 20 percent of the community hates it. Oh wait..................

They came up with the tracking system... why would they get sued for still having it up.

I know, I didn't really provide a good reason, but it's obvious that Microsoft is not going to sue Bungie.

  • 01.01.2012 2:14 PM PDT

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Only a handful.

Theme Builder 4.1 is out for Bungie.net!

Theme Builders

Because Bungie made Halo and they still have some rights to merchandising, advertising, etc.

I doubt 343i cares anyway.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Bungie still has avatars and references from Pathways into Darkness, Marathon, Oni, and Myth. I am glad they do becuase they are one of the few things left that keep the memories alive.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Because Bungie created Halo?

  • 01.01.2012 2:33 PM PDT

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

Well, the Halo stuff on here bungie did create so why would they get rid of it?

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Whose memories, exactly?

Anyone who ever enjoyed Bungie's past games.

Like Myth and Halo are tied for me in terms of my favorite Bungie game. Ever since I got into Myth, it has been a blast. Really great game, glad Bungie has avatars for it.

Bungie started the Halo Franchise, they have the right to keep the Halo stuff they had before the passed on their baby to 343i.

Bungie isn't going to be creating future forums for Halo (4,5, and 6) so technically, they aren't breaking any sort-of rule against Microsoft/343i.

Might as well scrap this too and forget the past. No point in keeping a record of past projects right?

I'm surprised that the destiny logo isn't an avatar/profile theme yet.

I never want this avatar to go away. I am glad Bungie still has the Halo themed ones. Their agreement with Microsoft must allow it.

Bye.

I don't think the terms of the split would have been;
"removing any and all documents, media and content pertaining to Bungie LLC's involvement in the origin, creation and development of Halo C.E., Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach and their respective DLC". The guys spent around 10 years building a franchise they should be allowed to keep images and and movies (documentaries) on their time with Halo.

Stats, I think, will be shifted to 343i when halo 4 is released, possibly sooner. Or 343 might just start stats fresh for halo 4. :)
