For the people who don't got Live Gold Edition and friends with an Xbox, it would be awesome if there would be MP Bots, just so you can make use of the multiplayer function. I really hope Bungie for this one time listens to it's fans and decides to make MP Bots. There are a lot of people who want bots. And i'm one of them.

I miss the mark of shame on my shoulder. :(

MS has the goal of 100% Live usage. As broadband becomes more and more common in households, they will want the Live subscribers higher. What better way than to encourage it with their franchise title? I'd say anything that funnels people to sign up is a good business move on their part.

I. personally, would rather they spend their time elsewhere. I'd trade bots for an extra map or two at launch.

Sounds reasonable. But maybe you forget that most people that don't live in the USA don't got credit-cards. So what must Aussies, Asian and European people do? Get a credit-card only for Live? Well, i'm not gonna do that.

If they didnt do it it wouldnt be for more live users, look at perfect dark zero and its bots, and further its update with bot personality types.

I love the idea because think about it, your playing with your gf, or your cousin, or showing your parents or other relatives. You dont want to play against them, play againt some bots so you can still hone your skills without making it no fun for your little brother or gf. I know we have coop but I think this would be better for unskilled players.

2nd senario: You and your crew of 3 friends are playing all night and have played every gametype, either not everyone has a live account or you are getting sick of the automated gametypes/immature players and want to mix it up. Play some ctf or team deathmatch againt 4 bots on "legendary" difficulty. That could make for some fun.

One big point : NO BOTS IN ONLINE PLAY. I hate playing against bots on cs:source servers and in PDZ games. Bots have no use in online play.

Only if they include bots.

[22:08] [JohnHoward:] The Halo 1 pistol wasn't a mistake...
[22:08] [JohnHoward:] It was also intended to be the ultimate hold out weapon...
[22:09] [JohnHoward:] I always believe that balance is about giving each weapon / ability / whatever it's own perfect situation.

I must admit, the bots in PDZ are programmed very nicely. With similar bot personalites, H3 offline play woudl be badass.

As for Aussies not geting on live, I know quite a few Aussie PDZ players, and they never griped about having trouble getting online.

Either would be cool with me...Bots would be cool if there is still matchmaking, since you can't choose which multiplayer map you want to play on....choose custom game with some bots.

And if there's no bots, there's always the campaign. So...I guess, whatever....Why did I even post this. Sorry for wasting your time with an absolutely useless post...wait I can just erase it and not post it....ah, I went this far...erase it. no put it....

Halo 3 is making me go crazy.

Service Record

People are going to hate me for saying this, but Killzone had great bots.

They will work as a squad.
They will try and flank you.
They'll go after health packs when needed.
If the run out of ammo, they'll switch to their handgun and search for a new weapon.
If a good weapon is nearby, they'll go after it.
If you're sniping, they'll send a guy or two to go kill you.

This is for enemy and ally bots alike.

Bots in Halo 3 are essential to keep multiplayer alive for people who can't get XBL.

Bots would keep it Fresh. Halo 2 can get so boring when you've logged over a thousand hours :)

I'd only see bots in a playable gametype for Halo 3 in something that resembles something seen in most strategy games made.

Imagine a type of "Art of Defense" type of game, where you and the other online players are put against bots on the defensive of certain points in the map, sort of like Battefield. Your objective is to defend these areas till either a timer runs out, all the bots are destroyed (depending on leveling system), and so on... It's just an idea I think would be pretty cool.

I would go into more detail, but I'm too lazy at this moment, lol.

So this means that bots will be appreciated?
