Looks like despite 5 huge Halo titles, Bungie has still managed to stay the good guys. Reddit had a post about the "bad guys" of the video game industry, the topic of discussion in the comments? - How Bungie had no right to be on the list. Keep up the good work guys!

I'm glad they're not as underrated as I thought they were.

Here's a hyperlink.

I think they are on there for signing with Activsion, but read the comments, plenty of people disagree with Bungie's inclusion on the list.

CTN, that was my point. The post invited the defense of the majority, which I thought was pretty interesting.

Why is Bungie on there? I've yet to see them take a wrong step. They've led a great website [-blam!- YEA BNET -blam!- YEA], made great games, and have overall done great things in the past decades. In no way has Bungie -blam!- up.
Yeah, and Bungie does a LOT of charity and community work? They've always been the type of company I would want to make.
Yea, I don't feel like I have every been wronged by Bungie.
I didn't hear about them signing with Activision, but even that shouldn't completely destroy respect for the company. If Bungie managed to make great games for the past 10+ years, I doubt signing with Activision will change much. They've had experience.
Heartwarming. <3 However, I saw this:
When Bungie signed with Activision, many Bungie employees left to work at 343. This could very well be history repeating. Why is this such a common misconception?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Reddit has OBVIOUSLY NEVER played:

Myth
Oni
Marathon
Pathways into Darkness
Minotaur

Bungie has made great games and they never "milk" a series. Their pre-Microsoft games revolutionized the gaming industry.

Like Myth for example, it held onto the idea of having 1 army and using terrain to win battles.

Minotaur was the FIRST multiplayer game for MACs.

WE GET IT, KEN. YOU LOVE THE RETRO GAMES BUNGIE HAS MADE. FANTASTIC.

Hardly anyone outside of Bnet has played them. That's a broad generalization, but it's fair to say that Bungie is known mostly only for Halo.

Of course they are and I am glad they want to move on. Halo has become a cash cow and many other devs would stay and make as much money as they wanted. I get the feeling Bungie <3'ed Halo very much but there is a point in time you got to say goodbye. Now we can have a next series to the Bungie saga.

Eh, a lot of those are mediocre at best. Of course I wasn't around back them, but from what I've gathered Bungie wasn't a very big deal until Myth. And if you think about it Marathon is Halo in the 90's.

Either way, I wouldn't mark Bungie down as a "bad guy" yet. I do hate Activision, but I think Bungie has enough breathing room to push Activision around. I for one am anticipating the next Bungie game.

Bungie has stayed pretty true to it's fans. But as far as hero or villain, all I can say is that I have not seen Jason in tights and so he can, by logic, be neither.

NO GROUP INVITES

A commment that struck me from the discussion was how a person could not think of one time he had been wronged by Bungie. That got me thinking about my own experiences, and I have to completely agree with the statement. Bungie listens to the community. Bungie has never been the bad guy to me. They are a very...awesome game developer. <3 you Bungie.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Has he ever been seen in the same room as Prince Harry?

With justice.

I use coup 5
Never Played halo 1 = Invalid opinion
Bloom isn't whats broken, its your idea of what good is and your opinion
Thats like saying uber nerf armor lock because like 20 percent of the community hates it. Oh wait..................

I love bungie, despite all the they never listen to the community misinformation.

if someone says bungie doesn't love their community they either suck at halo or are fan boys from another shooter
