Subject: Why don't Ninjas ever change their avatars?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Also (I don't know if this is true), but don't ninjas have to submit the new avatar to the webteam for them to add and in order to change their avatar it takes a lot of time.

They get added almost immediately, I think. But changes don' take effect until the webteam updates B.net

Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

I believe that we've just made Bungie canon.

Every time the site goes down for "emergency maintenance" it's because Stosh has completely failed at uploading new avatars.

Fortunately (or unfortunately), it takes him years to get around to doing it, so those downtimes aren't all that frequent.

Ninjas are whoring out this thread

Basically, I make the best topics ever.

Feedback!
Duardo: This thread is locked for being stupid.
cortana 5 : It's perpetually my time of the month and I'm just grouchy.
Foman: I see absolutely no reason, either theoretical or practical, that this is not a superb idea. Excellent work, my friend.

People look so different when they change their avatars.
Well that is true, it is hard to change a person. But, most people are willing to change or do what they must to make something bigger than themselves better, for the good of everyone.
And there it goes! Right over his head!

They are only "whoring the thread" if you want them too.

By immediately, I mean a few days.
And I'm pretty sure Achronos said something along the lines of that. They get put into the server, but the changes don't go online until the webteam updates the server, and since they don't update it often, that's the reason why it takes a long time for it to take effect.

Why don't Ninjas ever change their avatars?
Because they like their current avatar..?

My Screenshots / My Group / Remember to follow the rules or you will get trapped in a box.

Because in order to do so they have to ask Achronos and he doesn't want to have to change avatars every week plus the moire he changes them the slower the site gets.

Something ironic.

You give random people the ability to ban anyone on the forums, lock threads, and other very trustworthy powers but they can't upload a JPG, GIF, or PNG for their avatar whenever they want?

I imagine it has less to do with trust and more to do with the way the website is set up. It's probably easier for the webteam to set someone's avatar as their picture than to have a custom avatar feature that is locked to normal users.
