In older forums such as this one, yes. Usually just to see when the very first post was, who posted it, posted in it, etc.

Yeah, i've done it a couple times just to see if anyone ever made like a "First thread in the Flood" thread. But i never found one.

That was horrible... I hate how you have to remove quotes manually now though. :/

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

I do it occasionally, although its quite depressing when you see so many absent members/deleted members.
