While playing infection, a zombie running towards me sword lunges at me and while given credit for a Bulltrue, I still die. Why?

Is the force of the zombie hitting my body when being killed by my shotty killing me? I thought a Bulltrue meant I killed the zombie in the middle of a sword lunge which should keep me alive. Answers??

The zombie hit a speed of 88mph in the sword lunge and traveled to the future half a second to kill you before he disappeared.

A glitch can't be the answer. A glitch is the response someone gives who doesn't know.

Anyone have an answer for me? I have never seen this discussed on the forums and it happens frequently on the game type.

It is a glitch, and it has been discussed, a lot

It's because on the Zombies screen, he hit you, so the game registers it even if he didn't touch you on your screen. This was a opposite in Halo 3 where the Zombie could hit you but still die and the human walks away fine. But the game will still give you a Bulltrue.

Its a glitch along with the millions of other glitches that Bungie didn't decide to fix with Reach.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

Melees are hitscan in Reach so the game carries out the expected result of the melee regardless of whether the person is alive anymore or not.
