T4R? Like does each forum (community, flood, reach etc..) have it's own set of forum ninjas? Like right now in the Reach forum their are 2 threads what are obvious spam with offensive words in the title what haven't been locked, but in the flood and community they both have locked threads what were made after the 2 in the reach forum.

Just wondering why some forums aren't moderated and others are all the time.

Maybe, but I think it is just a matter of personal preference for each mod and which forum they like to moderate the most.

  • 01.02.2012 9:59 PM PDT

i bet there are no mods on the halo pc forum

I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

They don't have set forums they're supposed to moderate. Its at their leisure to be where they want.

  • 01.02.2012 10:01 PM PDT

No, they have free reign.

Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

It's always odd when a mythic member doesn't know something basic like this. I'm not insulting you, I guess I just unconsciously expect "higher" titled members to know these things already.

Anyway, the answer is: No, the moderators aren't forum specific. They're all "global mods", so to speak. Some might favour specific forums over others and therefore see (and deal with) the rule-breaking more there.

  • 01.02.2012 10:02 PM PDT

Nope. As others have said, they're global moderators: they have moderation permissions in every forum and moderate at their desire.

I'm a college dropout.

They moderate whatever they come across and feel like they have time to take care of.

Well i've thought they didn't have certain ones to moderate and could moderate any section but it always seems like certain sections always more moderators than others. I know of some other forums what have specific sections for mods so maybe it was the same here.

Thanks for all the replies guys :P

No. The mods moderate all the forums, not specific ones. I do think that there is some forums they don't visit anymore.

Why post then?

I clicked the "reply" button before anybody had posted before me but by the time I clicked "submit" several people had answered the question already making my post redundant. Now the thread is filled with the same answer over and over, which is forgiveable when it's an accident, but you are actually acknowledging that you've seen the previous answers.

Simply speaking, your post is spam.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Some of the forums don't get nearly enough activity as the others. It's primarily based on the moderator's personal attachment/interest in the forum itself. I'll bet they rely mainly on the report queue for forums that don't appear to receive attention at all.

That's what happened to me. Now the thread has no purpose. The question has been answered.

I have seen them post all over the place. So I'm assuming they get to go where they want, when they want, and ban who they want.

What will we ever do? Oh my, it appears that the forums... they're... THEY'RE... not disturbed at all. Sorry, OP, for my disgusting, poisonous, and putrid spam.

Yeah they are. This happens all the time. A simple question is asked and answered, and then answered about fifty more times continuously bumping the now-useless thread.

It's just one of those annoying things you guys like to do. Not the end of the world but still detrimental to the forums in general.
