Subject: Banned from multiplayer bug.

I don't know where to post this so I am here.
Recently I have been getting " banned " from Reach matchmaking, but I don't see how. I get the message as soon as I go on Reach, in the middle of a fire fight game when I didn't even leave.
Sometimes I randomly get banned after I finish a game.
This is also happening to my friend.
Please sort this as it is extremely annoying.

ps.
Please move this to the appropriate place if there is one, and help me find where it is cause i didn't see a bug forum.

In the middle of a game it is probably just warning you that if you quit, you will be banned for 15 minutes. If you quit, you will be banned for 15 minutes. So don't quit.

P.S. don't say you don't quit, I looked at your last 5 matchmaking games and you quit 4 of them.

Where are you from mate? It may be because of a poor connection to the reach servers

No.

Not a bug. It's a feature.

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

Learn from others and do not quit.

yes, this happened to me a while ago, i went into a FF game after getting banned, during the game it "kicked" everybody out of the game (i lagged out) and the game continued with me alone

after the game finished, i got banned again for "quitting" even though i finished the game

The game was trying to show you how it feels when you quit and leave your team-mates on their own. There is obviously a sophisticated AI at work here and it should not be questioned or reasoned with.

its plan backfired, it was insanely laggy before it happened so the rest of the game was perfect and i went on to -blam!- some bad AI covies

Didn't see the comments,@SRQ baller24 my internet cuts me off constantly but it doesn't say it when that happens.
I " left " those 4 games when i got disconnected.
And that doesn't explain why as soon as i load up Reach i get the message.

Fix your internet. That's your fault and it counts as a quit.

The system is working just fine.

  • 01.03.2012 8:49 AM PDT

Rang up the internet provider and they saw nothing wrong.
My friend has a perfect connection and it happens to him.

I've only been disconnected once in a 1000 games.

You get disconnected in 4/5? There is something wrong with your home network.

Fix it. For everyone's sake.

  • 01.03.2012 8:53 AM PDT

But still, my friend has a perfect connection and it still happens to him.
There is still a bug which needs sorting.

  • 01.03.2012 8:54 AM PDT

Right. 'Your friend' with the 'perfect connection.'

Stop lying.

We're done here.

  • 01.03.2012 8:56 AM PDT

Well bungie can go on sucking because there clearly is a bug or something when his connection is better than mine and it happens to him.

  • 01.03.2012 8:57 AM PDT

It doesn't matter how good his ISP is if his home network was put together by a retard.

You can make any connection terrible if you work at it.

Once again, your problem is on your end. Come to terms with that and you can put this 'bug' behind you.

So now you're saying i'm trying to make my connection bad...

Seriously..
This needs to get sorted.
I dont know if you work for bungie or something but im sure your just too lazy to sort it if you do.
It needs to be fixed.
That's it.

Try plugging your Xbox directly into your modem.

Like you said that is just you lagging out due to your bad connection, but becaus it's FF you still get to finnish the game on your own and get a quit for it.

I have not tried that, but an Xbox downstairs has and it helped a little bit on CoD. But it hasn't been tried on Reach.

  • 01.03.2012 9:05 AM PDT

Quitting or lagging out will do that to you.

  • 01.03.2012 10:52 AM PDT

It isn't Bungie's responsibility, 343's responsibility, nor Microsoft's responsibility to ensure that your home network is set up for Xbox Live. It is YOUR responsibility. Clearly your network, and your 'friend's', are not up to the task. Thus you're getting banned for leaving games. If you don't want it to happen, fix your connection, if you can't, then suck it up because you're ruining the Xbox Live experience for other people by leaving games, hence why you're getting banned.
