Subject: Ban/Warning History

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Is there a way to view your entire ban/warning history? I know that you can view your last ban or warning, but that's about it.

Hey, how's it going?

You can PM a moderator and if they're feeling lucky they will send it to you :)

I think only moderators have access to full moderation history, although they may let you see if you PM one of them.

Thanks from the help everyone, I'll PM a moderator.

Nope. Thats why its best to keep your messages.

The world is full of mysteries, and shares too few of the answers required. An example of which, is how did I end up in the Brute Zone?

I don't think there is a way you can fully access your moderation history as a general user. However, maybe you could message a moderator?

Also, what is the reason why you want to see you history? Business or pleasure?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I hear people with excessive ban histories can crash the window or won't load all the way.

Yeah, if you get caught breaking the rules two or more times, you loose the ability to view your whole moderation history. :D

I'm not an expert on this field, as I've only been banned once, and it was only recently. So I don't know what will appear or what won't appear after successive bans and/or after a period of time.

Nope, the only way you could probably get info like that, would probably be by messaging a moderator/admin.

or.

If you saved your messages from Disembodied Soul, then you should be set.

Every time a mod has warned or banned you it will show up on your moderation history. I thought mine was awful but some people claim to have 40 bans.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

For some, a long ban/warning history is a "red badge of courage" and shows "just how many times I stood up to the man and his corrupt machine".

For some, a long ban history is "evidence that certain moderators are incompetent or are out to get me".

Many folks of these two groups will then create topics in order to discuss their righteous indignation over these past injustices and attempt to "retry the case in the court of public opinion" with a "I wuz bant 4 this, do u think it wuz fare?"

For a few, it is a curiosity and a chance to look back and realize that "wow, I actually have learned from my mistakes and I was a little overactive and overzealous back in my youth of 2 years ago."

Well I found out my history thanks to Qbix, but I don't like it and I'm amazed that I'm a Fabled Legendary Member.

I believe that I fall into your final category. Having a ban history as long as mine is, I think of it as a learning experience.

The next real question is:

Can moderators erase ban history? That'd be awesome. Thanks in advance. ;)

I think moderators are more keen on sharing the ban history of someone else than removing it.

On December 1st, 2012, I met Neil deGrasse Tyson. I shook the man's hand, and even made him laugh. Not much else to do with my life now.

I never delete my ban/warning messages.

It's two pages long, hehehe.

Who the hell do you think I am?

There is no way to look at it. Also, the ninjas aren't supposed to tell you, so I wouldn't bother PMing one.

I just go through my inbox to check up on my ban history. I found out I have two warnings and two seven day bans. The bans were within a week of each other too. lol

I have seen one user keep a record of his title though.
