Subject: Kicked from matchmaking games, but not xbox live?

Recently I've been getting kicked from multiplayer games before they even start. I'll get to the screen where it shows the teams/players and then just as its about to start it says game over and I'm kicked. Its happened so much I've been temporarily banned. I'm not complaining about it because if I'm leaving games then ban me.

My question is where would the problem be? I don't get kicked from xbox live and most of the time I'm still chatting with my party at the times I'm kicked, so why do I get kicked from the games?

Also here is the setup for the internet. Satellite > modem > router > switch > xbox. The xbox is connected directly as is my computer from the switch. I never have connections issues on my computer or any other computer in the house

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated,

Ryan

it could be your game disc.

it could be your game disc.

This, if you have a scratch on it, it might not be able to load maps properly, thus kicking you from the lobby.
Try loading maps in a custom game lobby, see if that works or not.

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

Yeah, it has happened before. It is the game disc.

Now that you mention it there is a slight crack on the disc but its in the middle clear part of the disc. So I tried playing NHL 12 online. I was lagging like crazy and got kicked. Is it possible that my internet lets me connect to live and chat to people but its not a good enough connection to play full on games with others? Though that would seem weird because I used to play them all the time.

edit: It was brand new when I bought it, I have the reach edition xbox

If, as said above, it is your disk, there is an easy and relialble solution, install the game on your xbox's hard drive. (if your xbox has problems reading it, borrow or rent a halo reach disk, install it, and play with yours)

After the game is installed the xbox wont mind its not the exact same disk you installed it with, it will just check its an original xbox disk.

Dont forget to return the borrowed disk to its respectful owner.
