If she had taken her boobs out maybe I would've felt sympathetic to her character.
What? How would that have helped? That would have given this game an A rating.
Eh?
You misunderstand. It wouldn't help the game, but I certainly would've felt more sympathetic.
I still don't see how that would help the character.
It would've made her third-dimensional. Her character is spread so thinly you could put her in between two pieces of bread but have your mouth full of so much of dry pastry that any might of liquids wouldn't quench your natural thirst.
She is so insubstantial that if you stepped to the side you would realize that she is nothing but a cardboard cut-out, with a robot standing behind it working the cut-out like a puppet with all of the warmth and emotion of a glass of water. There is nothing to her, and the excuse "It's a video game not a cinematic experience" can't even stand up to it. Halo: Reach was the tale of a grand war but none of the characters were likeable. Replace the entire cast with puppies and that still won't stop me from putting a bullet in all of them.
A sudden twist in personality or change in paradigms would've made her at least interesting enough for me to actually care about her. I would feel a lot more maternal towards an eccentric little boy than my f.ucking coffee maker, that's for sure.
