If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.
Playing Halo CEA made me realise that Halo:CE was never about just the graphics. Which Halo CEA is guilty of. It's about what an ambitious task Bungie can create when back in 2001, the atmosphere and feel of a game can change the medium of gaming to more than just a sterotypical shooter. Akin to what GTA 3 did to gaming. Breaking boundaries.
In comparison, Halo CEA is nothing but a cheap attempt at pulling in cash from the fanbase. With the guise of "skulls, new cinimatics and better graphics" cough cough.
343i did nothing new, argubly the terminals are the redeeming factor. But if this remake was just product placement for H4. Then I can totally see why this game had to be "Remade" and by that, I just mean graphically.
Oh and the addition of Multiplayer was just a jab to get more players into Halo Reach's matchmaking. Had they actually cared about Reach's matchmaking they would have included all the maps for Reach or at the very least the DLC map packs. So to increase potential income they became stingy and let you have the excuse of the aniversary map pack codes for a copy of Reach you must own to use it. Not only that but adding furthur achievements added after TU1 already existing achievements for the marketplace exclusive map packs so you have to buy them in order to get the achievements as well.
So no H2 CEA please.
I want it done for the right reasons and H2 doesn't have any. It was and still is a game that needs no remake.
