Subject: Grenades need "bloom".

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

I can imagine throwing a grenade and killing myself because the bloom makes it hit a nearby object and rebound into my face. The game would replace bad shooting mechanics with troll physics.

every grenade throw should be a foul ball and instantly curve 166 degrees to a random direction

But that would only happen if you threw more than one grenade at a time, plus it would be only slightly off target.

I do not like this idea.

Does this mean that a grenade lands in a slightly different place each time when throw, even though aiming at exactly the same place? It'd be more realistic.

--Tea-baggers are funny, it's as if they think they are far more hetero than the people who do it in real life, because they use their e-ballsacks to do it. What a manly victory dance.

Bloom: A term used to describe the reticule expanding to show you how the spread values are changing based on rate of fire (or reloading).

So how exactly could you make a grenade 'bloom'?
Pace your nade throws.

That is a description of the intended response. I was asking how something with no reticule could bloom.

Make a similar system for grenades where they lose accuracy in relation to rate of fire? Sure. But not bloom itself, that's merely a description of the indication.

If you try to throw nades consecutively without pausing (aka: Nade spamming) your second nade will be completely off the mark and random

Halo is supposed to be consistent, not realistic.
