My main gripe is that some of the levels are just continuations of the previous level. Under normal circumstances, this is obviously entirely the point. But look at Halo 1 and Halo 3. Each level was different, where as in Halo 2, Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone could have easily been chopped in half and stitched together into one normal sized level. Visually, they're exactly the same. It got so, so dull.
And the ending was trash. The Arbiter's story was extraordinarily well done though.
I can see how the levels continuations would be annoying, kinda like the money rip off of Harry potter being out into two films, but it also added a lot more to the campaign. Like say they had cut out Delta Halo, probably the best level in the game in my opinion, and left regret. That would've been like, well how the -blam- did I get here? That's what I didn't about CE and three, there was almost no connection between levels. I have to agree with the sacred icon and quarantine zone one though, hated those levels. But another one was outskirts and metropolis (I only remember this as it was the only game I played for five years as I didn't have a 360), I don't think it would have been possible with the tech they had at the time to put those into one levels, and almost all the spots in those two maps were essential... I can definitely see how it got dull though...
