i want a command system (ex. freedom fighters, counter strike, rainbow six etc.) that lets me control what my men do. i want them to scout ahead when i tell them to with just a push of a button or using a voice system. they can either scout ahead, get back in formation and follow me again, hold position etc. this is better so that they won't die when they go ahead without my signal and they then die for no reason at all. once in halo 2 when i was playing the arbiter, my elite buddies went to scout ahead without my "go ahead" signal and then when they round a corner the flood jumps out of nowhere(like always) and kills some of my buddies just like that, automatically without my "go ahead" signal and then they die for no reason at all. they didn't die fighting, they didn't die bravely, and worst of all they died WITHOUT my command. i should be able to control what my buddies should do in campaign mode so then I will be the one sending tem to their deaths and they can die with a cause because i know what i am doing. i mostly would like a command system like in "freedom fighters" without the recruit and command of course. they can just be a certain amount of men i am able to control so that when i say to them to scout ahead, not all of them will scout ahead and not all of them will die. I WANT TO TAKE CONTROL!!!!!!! and also PLEASE bring back the assault rifle in halo 1 and modify it with a scope and more powerful bullets and with a cooler look as well. thanks for all your help Bungie and good luck creating one kick-ass game no one will ever forget!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BUNGIE!!!!!!!!!!GO HALO 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they could do it with the "plus-sign" shaped button that has no use

i think it would take out tthe complete gameplay the first 2 halos have been following. I think the marines are fine without orders. I dont think we would want this game to turn into a strategic one.

The Marines and other underlings (grunts, elites) are idiots but could be very useful if they would listen to you because of their unlimited ammo and extra firepower. Imagine if you could tell all the elites who attack Tarturus with guns, in Halo 2, to stay with Johnson and shoot instead of getting squashed. The extra firepower would be so helpful.

agreed with ya all the way. with all the unlimited firepower and with a squad of maybe ten, you can cut through any enemy with just a single command and say"all fire"!

well i've got to say yes to this command system

that's why i even succeeded in ghost recon 2 or brothers in arms because i'd be able to get good shots w/out all the shots being trained on me

i know some of you don't like to do that but (beep this out) you. lol. i love to use tactics with every member of my unit

i'd like to have the d-pad being used for the commands and leave one button on there for being able to switch the ROF (rate of fire for those who don't know) from full auto to burst to single shot

and i have to totally agree with what you've got in your signature Supertrek322, i've totally got to agree with you. it just seems that no one that lives around me likes teamwork or invasion force. if i were being assigned to guard a member of my team with an important weapon like the only sniper on the map, i would die for him as long as he can get to safety. however, if I were to be the one with the sniper, they would run for cover and pick the sniper up themselves after i die or kill me and get the sniper. it's just that no one wants to stay with shotgun or smgs or battle rifle to spread out the weapons used in the invasion force, instead, they want to use the weapon that they've spent their whole life using (in this case the sword)

i say no. i think the basis for a command system is because the AI in the first two games was a little sub-par, making people wish they could just control the marines themselves. if Bungie manages a kickass AI system this time around, im sure everyone will easily forget about the command system.

and a lot of people say using the d-pad slows down gameplay, but if you're ordering the command while behind a rock, it doesn't matter too much

but in ghost recon or brothers in arms, they were kickass in the first place, but it just made the game better to have them in it
