Because posts like this made up 85% of the Halo 2 forum.

And because stomping out MLG kiddies stopped being funny after the 50th hate spam message

And 60% of ranked games that you were winning ended with you being throttled/standby'ed out of the game.

Ahhh well, MLG is just sickening to me. It stands for My life gone, imo.

Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own council will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless.” -Yoda

Ehh I don't have a spewing hatred for them, I just don't like those little kids who act like they're MLG when their K/D is -2000. It's not they're fault but I think it's too overrated.

(To discuss Halo 4.)

This applies to many people:

I just dislike the general competitive population, who think their opinions are more important, think the games they like the best were the most competitive and vice versa, and think the entire game should be centered around them.

They feel they deserve all the perks and privileges, and that so called casual players ruin the game.

I'll give you one very good example. One guy stated that Halo should go back to it's "roots"and that the Living Dead playlist should be abolished. Not only is this arrogant and selfish, but a lot of people agreed with him. Apparently, instead of stopping stats in Living Dead, he stated we should remove the casual playlists completely, including Griffball, and everyone should be playing MLG and Slayer.

Most don't understand the concept of fun, and will put down any suggestions for being not Halo , and something ridiculous.

They also seem to be ignorant of the so called flaws of previous games, they do not give developers credit or appreciate their work, or realize why a decision was taken.

I don't dislike MLG the organization.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I dont hate MLG guys, but I dont have any on my friends list because I generally dont find them agreeable. I like playing casually and just having fun. 1v1s and other "tests of skill" are not my thing.

No, all are seen as lower than the "average" person.
But that's not a stereotype, that's a side effect from being part of a hated group of people.

So if I am a brony that means I am automatically socially akward, along with many other things?

Its a stereotype, and there are tons of them here on Bungie.net.
That's what a stereotype is, doesn't mean seeing someone as an inferior being is a stereotype.

Also stop stereotyping everyone who isn't a brony.
Why is it that every argument I hear, someone mentions homo-blam!- people? Seriously, lets keep this forum about gaming and not bring up any terms such as brony...

Greatest of all time

If you're against eSports, I don't understand how you can call yourself a gamer.

All MLG wants to do is make Halo and all video games bigger and more accepted in our society. Why would you be against that?

And the people who make fun of you for playing infection or whatever are the vocal minority of the MLG community who will never become a pro or semi-pro because of their terrible attitudes. It is unfortunate that you have let them skew your view on the MLG community as a whole.

The MLG community loves Halo just as much as you do, you're a part of the same community and it is a shame that you have animosity towards them. I run into people who are not MLG that still trash talk. Trash talking is a normal thing that a lot of people do, not just members of the MLG community.

A little competition never hurt anyone, MLG wants to bring Halo to the next level. By not supporting them, you're holding Halo back.

I hate the playlist because it's as boring as -blam!-. It's Halo with every fun aspect wringed out leaving nothing but a skeleton of what Halo is.

As for MLG players, I've got nothing against them unless their arrogant asshats.

Why is what I am saying BS?

To be honest, MLG gamers like Halo a lot more than all of you do. Why? Because they love Halo so much they enjoy watching other people play it.

Don't take the things I say out of context, obviously I'm not trying to make this into a contest of "who likes Halo more", but what I'm saying is true.

Sundance DiGiovanni is trying to get Halo and Starcraft onto ESPN for God's sake. If you love Halo, how isn't that idea so exciting to you?

I mean, you could actually respond to what I'm saying and have a discussion like a normal human being.

Or you could continue to act like a child, either one works and is fine by me. Either way I will continue to support eSports and watch the game I love grow into something bigger in the future.

Well spoken, but yes, I see no reason in getting rid of living dead or grifball... it's giving Bungie/343 more money and drawing in more fans with extra gametypes anywa... it's like telling them to get rid of campaign and firefight, or even forge because people spend hours playing on it. If they want to take Halo back to "it's roots," than why don't they simply play Halo 1 or 2? They can play them online on a PC through an LAN or through Xbox Connect. Personally I had lots of fun playing the original games and see no problem playing them again every now and then. Even still, Halo 1 and 2 actually weren't full of as many MLG knuckleheads.

MLG is not all that is Halo either. Someone else already touched on that. Their version is the Barebones equivalent of Halo.

The MLG Stereotype is the same as any other hated group, such as bronies, and furries.
Brownies get off on being better than other people?

I just felt the need to point out that it is in fact nonesense, in case someone is fooled by the articulate setting in which it is held, people are easily suggestable and all that junk.

You can never take something you love too seriously and there is nothing cooler than being proud of the things you love. MLG loves Halo and wants to see it grow. If you love Halo and you're against that, then you're wrong. You should be happy that there are people in the same community as you that are willing to go to great lengths to see Halo grow and succeed.

I'm not arguing what makes Halo Halo or that MLG is not the barebones equivalent of Halo. The fact is that eSports is an amazing movement and if you're a gamer who doesn't support it then shame on you.

Ok, maybe that one statement was a bit harsh, but how is anything else I said wrong?

The fact is that the MLG community loves Halo. They travel the country just to watch it and take time out of their weekend to watch the streams.

Disliking the goal of MLG or MLG community for that is childish. Be more tolerant of the things that people enjoy.

First off, a whole group/community such as MLG do not love Halo anymore than regular/casual players. Frankly people who play MLG spend way too much time playing the same game over and over and don't spend any time playing other games, and as a result, casual gamers (such as myself) don't have as much fun playing a game of team slayer when they constantly run into clans full of low lifes who spend too much time playing Halo and try to dominate everyone they play to make casual gamer's play time less enjoyable. There's a reason for an MLG playlist. Personally I think MLG gamers should mind their own business and play in a playlist where they belong, rather than destroying noobs in team slayer in order to prove that their better than people who don't play as much Halo. You see, I can prove I'm good without having to change my status to MLG or join a group of strangers who don't have any real life friends and sadley sit in their base all day cursing in lobbies and making themselves seem like blam!holes!

That is my argument!
