I couldn't let stupidity of this magnitude go unchecked so this is my first post in this forum.

The icons you see represent your teammates. They are customizable. So take my screen name - 2.Rounds - I could have a white 2 on a transparent background (made using a simple icon paint interface) and my teammates would know that it was me instead of an anonymous green marker over yonder. Also, if I'm taking fire my teammates see a red outline on my icon, yellow if I'm firing, and blue if i'm normal. This is the kind of communication aid that I would fully expect to have if my teammates and I were all donning 6th generation cybernetic battle armor in the year 2552.
Thank you, I feel exactly the same way.

Wow. To those of you who don't see the need for teammate indicators - I can't wait to own your non-strategizing asses online. I use the green arrows now to plug gaps, find teammates - it's one of those little things that make Halo multiplayer so great. I pity those who don't understand the usefullness of the indicators.

Thank you. I also feel the exact same way about the indicators. They helped out so much when playing Halo CE.
