IonicPaul. Been a member since December of '07, but been a Bungie fan, quite literally, all my life. I started playing Marathon aimlessly when I was two and a half. I was instantly addicted. Bungie was, at first, a name that was synonymous with Marathon, but slowly, I learned it was much, much more.
Around the time of the third grade, I first played Halo PC on a friend's computer, and instantly wanted the game. The following Christmas, I split the cost with my dad, a fellow Marathon fan. I loved the game and played the hell out of the campaign.

A series of mistakes led to my community involvement.
Firstly, I was never a multiplayer gamer, but I always loved messing around on multiplayer maps alone, and so I started up an internet game. Guy joined. Killed me. I killed him. In that very instant I understood why multiplayer shooters were so fun: You not only out-shot the opponent, but were in a constant battle to out-smart him, as well.
Eventually, I discovered modding thanks to a single person who joined one of my games, and I met a lot of my current online friends on the site we all used.
Fast forward. I played Halo 3 on a friend's Xbox. I pestered my parents for one, and they finally relented. Words cannot describe the constant hours of fun from that Xbox. It continued into ODST, Reach, and other assorted shooters (with a smattering of arcade games).
Shortly after getting my Xbox Live account, I joined bungie.net. It's hard to describe, but I slowly got sucked into the community, as one can easily tell by my willingness to write my life story that no one will care about.
Either way, hello, Bungie.net. IonicPaul. 16 years old, lifelong Bungie fan, waiting for the next big thing.
