If you remember, Halo 2 did not live up to its hype as most people expected. It's still a great game, but when I first playd multiplayer at Best Buy, I was afraid that the game did not live up to its hype. After everyone saw the E3 demo, the world was hyped up about Halo 2 going to be the best game. But in reality, campaign did not have any level that simulated what the E3 demo did. Then Halo 2 came out, lots of people started to complain about campaign and multiplayer. And then everyone kept saying Halo 2 is newbified.

But hopefully, Halo 3 will live up to its hype. Even if it doesn't, I know it will still be a great game.

That's a very biased opinion. You're in a very small crowd with that opinion.

That's why you don't hype it up, and don't believe the hype that others create.

What hype?
The games only officially existed for two days.

You should have added the option "damn, I hope so"

M:Infinty was friggin excellent the storyline was friggin confusing at points but Bungie always finishes with a bang, but I do agree with Omen. Don't set expectations so that the game is 300 times better when it comes out.

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

I don't know that's why I'm not going to get excited over it. I was releaved to hear that Halo 3 will be different.

Halo 2 was not that great, but Halo was the best.

I think Halo 3 needs to be made with an incredable finish and have the replay value. With out a good campaign, there is no motivation to play mutltiplayer for me which makes the game sucks.

I want some more scenes in Halo 3 as classic as "Betcha can't stick it".

Exactly, Halo 3 has already generated too much hype that it cannot possibly live up to because all these fans run around creating topics about "awesome ideas for Halo 3" that are neither plausible nor coherent with the previous 2 games. 108 threads in three days is way too much hype already. As soon as it comes out, someone will make a "halo3sucks.com" because they are either disloyal or an -blam!-. Most people like Halo CE better simply because there was no comparison for it, it was the first of its kind and it was amazing. Halo 2 comes out and people got mad because they changed the gameplay a little. Because of stupid fans generating too much hype. Bottom line, hype=dissapointment
