May or maynot count, but i launched a warthog in the air for 14.74 seconds in a co-op game on The Silent Cartographer. To give you an idea of what kind of height that is, standing on the arch above the rocks people normally use, if i zoomed in with the pistol the ENTIRE warthog was inside the target riticule even when its broadest side was facing me.

yes i had a stopwatch, i used to even have it on video but it got copied over.

Should've had a camera ready; this sounds like it would have been good to watch.

Had my partner standing on, near, or under the warthog on all the different jumps. It helps if you get a checkpoint and THEN do it. Revert to saved and you can do it again!!. It WAS awsome to watch. It takes about 45 minutes to set up though. You have to kill everything and dump your grenades in a pile, then waste all the ammo out of all the guns lying around near the warthog and THEN use the Rocket to move all the dead bodies out of the way. We found that having just the warthog gives a much higher jump, intead of a warthog with 3 dozen guns and spartan bodies.

Anything that gets a warthog to hurdle over top of that huge structure at the beginning of Silent Cartographer is pretty good (which we've done). But nice job with the stopwatch though...never really thought to test height with airtime...wow I must have brain damage or something!

15 seconds? Wow... did it ever hit any level barriers, or what?

see its little stuff like this that made halo playable for so long the grenade explosions in halo 2 are so lame it was so amazing just to throw a grenade and have a chain go off

a few times we decided to "Aim" the warthog in different directions. We launched it to the opposite side of the island and onto the beach before it landed, hit the ocean level barrier in the opposite direction while it was still in the air( it was about 15 feet above the ocean when it hit)...and we were about 200 feet short of the verticle level barrier, and thats not very far at all. I had my friend stand on it when we got the best of our jumps, and on his screen HIS body hit the level barrier, and the warthog came close but not quite.

Just to let you know, the verticle level barrier is obscenely high up. I could barely see the warthog while i was zoomed in with the pistol, and that was standing on top of the level on the arch. That should give you an idea of how high were getting.

Oh, and you could stack 5 of the halo structures on top of eachother and we still would have cleared it.
