There is just something magical about leaning your head back, letting your eyes roll into the back of your head, and taking a piss while floating in the swimming pool.

I just borrowed my neighbors Halo Anniversary edition, and I have been having a good time revisiting memory lane. I saw that it has sold 1.7 million units world wide, which I actually expected. I did not ever think this game was going to come close to any previous sales numbers of Halo games. 1.7 million is still a solid amount of sales for any game especially with so much to choose from these days.

Overall I would give the game a 8/10. I felt the redoing of the controls on the ghosts brought my score down a solid 1 point. Not only that but they underpowered the gun. Forever I have always hated how Bungie de-powered the ghost as each game went on. 343 ruined the ghost in this game. Sad really.

The way they altered how the rockets launched. Atrocious. Anyone experience any bugs? I did. I actually lost two hours of play time when it didn't save right, and also I noticed bugs and slow downs that I don't ever remember seeing in the 7 times I played the original years ago.

Oh, and to make you have to grenade jump for three different skulls. -blam!- pathetic.

I absolutely loved the terminal cut scenes though. Those were brilliantly done.

Other then that enjoyed.

You can only look out into space and wonder... see you Starside

I was disappointed in the time required to switch between classic and anniversary mode, nothing much else though; still the same old to me.

What exactly are you referring to? I've actually done a fair amount of testing particular mechanics in CEA, and while I've found a few differences, I have no idea what you're talking about with the ghosts and the rockets.

Care to explain the differences? I'm curious, apart from the new graphics engine causing a few problems (invisible walls on new, actual wall/cliff on classic) but apart from that, i've noticed next to no difference in CEA compared to CE Xbox and PC?

-A few bumps (like the Cortana pedestal bump in PoA) no longer work.
-There are a few spots which have very minor collision differences, though they're very small and almost never in a position to have any effect on gameplay.
-At least one projectile has some differing behaviour from the original, namely the banshee's FRG (particularly when shot downward).

Also, it feels a lot more difficult than in the original game to knock the banshee off the AotCR platform with a rocket, at least with Boom turned off. (I've done the trick on oXbox recently, it's very easy. For some reason it wasn't working very nicely on the 360 emulator version, though. I dunno, either there's something strange going on or I'm very inconsistent.)
