残酷な天使のテーゼ

I understand them not being able to be posted in the public forums, but why not in private groups?

  • 01.05.2012 6:05 PM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Private groups have rules too and Images could break those rules.

Plus the load times could be bad.

Though, I wouldn't mine having IMG tags.

Best of random chance

I also think they should be allowed in private groups, for certain levels of members. But this may or may not be included in the new hawtness.

In wine there's truth but in silence there's surrender.

Just use shi options if you're looking to preview images in that way.

Do you know about time travel?

I don't think you can post pictures in private groups.

Yes. I can get rather annoying but it's a great script.

I wouldn't mind this feature, OP.

Theme Builder 4.1 is out for Bungie.net!

Theme Builders

Because we would have a variety of nasty images paraded throughout the 7th Column.

Why? Because...

I hope you understand my meaning.

I don't, but I bookmarked that picture for future use.

I hope you understand my meaning.

Because I'm going to post it in the past.

Who the hell do you think I am?

It doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. I might make things slower, but it would still be kind of cool.

Whoo.

Mythic Members couldn't have a thread with links to boobs in it.

I don't think allowing us to post the images directly would have been any better.

Hahahaha you guys were naughty.

Join the Outer Haven group!

Because that would mean some stuff would actually be on the website so Bungie would be responsible. Say little Timmy saw boobs here, Bungie would be responsible and in trouble.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

The thread in Mythic Members that was (inb4antimolocampaigns) deleted by Achronos about a year ago pretty much spells out why [IMG] tags won't ever happen in private groups.

I mean, if Mythic Members post naughty things, and they're a small minority, then it's likely much harder to make sure that groups with a wide array of regular members aren't breaking the Code of Conduct as well.

Basically, Bungie can't trust anyone, because we're all equally immature.

To Make Posts is Glorious

Some threads will get posts before others and it is the duty of the Leadership to ensure that posts are made that best suit the public welfare.

I remember that thread and don't see how it has anything to do with the topic. What difference does embedding an image as opposed to linking it have to do with what the image portrays?

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I wish that the private groups could have the ability to allow certain members to post pictures. Sure you run the risk of bad pictures, but you also run that risk by clicking on links, or being on the internet at all.

What Ken said.

  • 01.05.2012 7:52 PM PDT

Yes, I AM just that awesome.

Because we're immature poopie-faces.

  • 01.05.2012 7:55 PM PDT

I'm not sure how it works, but images can be posted in news stories of private groups. Although it's a punishable offense to do so, it is possible without using any scripts.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I can see the usefulness of it, but I imagine it has a lot to do with the standards Achronos holds this site to. No bad stuffs here.

In addition to the potentially vulgar images (it's one thing to post a link where people can see the address and another for it to be embedded for all to see) it would probably put unnecessary load times on the web servers.

  • 01.05.2012 10:15 PM PDT

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

All it would take is for a 13 year-old B.net member to stumble upon a harmless Halo Reach thread and BAM! a nicely shaped pair of tits has been exposed to this young boy. The boys mother finds out and oh boy, Bungie is in a huge steaming pile of spaghetti noodles. It isn't technically their fault. They didn't physically post an image of this marvelous set of titties, but it is their fault because they allow images to be posted.

The reason why links are allowed is because they can be easily ignored and dealt with without anyone having to be exposed to it's contents simply because it doesn't immediately appear while innocently scrolling through the contents of a thread.
