I remember a few months ago when I was talking to our gool ol' buddy ObbiQuiet on aim. We were talking about how much I loved milk, then he said he -did- and then became Lactose Intolerant. Well I remember thinking "Thank God that hasn't happened to me"

Well lately (for like the past month) after I drink milk, I've been getting really sick to my stomach.

Does this mean i'm becoming Lactose Intolerant?

It does sound like that may be what is happening. There are a variety of different tests that can be performed by any doctor, so maybe if you are really concerned you should see your GP. A Google search brings up this page, which seems to be pretty informative.

One question: how much milk do you have to drink before you feel sick?

It means you're unconciously worshipping Obbi and trying to be like him,
or drinking too much milk. Check the expiry date.

--I remember reading a study about milk drinkers having a higher sustained lactase production. I'll try to find it. If you aren't feeling well, go to your GP and get it checked. Try not to drink any milk for a while.

im no doctor but from what i know your bodie might just be rejecting milk.I can sum it up like this you all know that if you take a antibiotic to much and after awile it stops working. Now thingk of the same thing with milk your stomach may just be sick of milk and is rejecting it and thus you are geting sick.simply put lay off the milk then after awile dringk milk again and if you are still geting sick let the profeshinal figure out whats going on.

I come from Holland, and I drink a LOT of milk EVERY day. Milk still tastes good to me, even though I probably drink close to a liter every day (Including other products made with milk). I don't see why that would happen.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Even if you are becoming lactose intolerant, it's no big deal. After a certain age, milk no longer serves a pupose and can be fat producing.

Maybe because you think you are becoming lactose intolerant, you feel that every time that you drink milk, you have get sick. When really you are no different, you just think that you're getting sick. It may all be in your head.

I don't know, it's happened to me before. I hope that helps.

Lactose intolerancy is natural. People from asian cultures many times have difficulty drinking milk, because it hasn't really been introduced in their diet after breast-feeding. Many people lose their ability to have dairy products when they mature because you shouldn't still be drinking them. During our recent evolution most humans didn't drink milk past breast milk.

In order to break stuff like lactose down your body needs to produce [insert word that escapes my memory here]. The same goes for diabetics - they no longer produce the [insert word that escapes my memory here] required to break down sugar and digest it. Except with sugar, it doesn't make them as sick as lactose does.

I know my lactose intolerance isn't psychological. There is no way I can psychologically cause those effects on my digestive system.

Besides, I'm not always aware of if what I eat has milk or not. Sometimes I won't know until after I start feeling sick and I start thinking about what it was that had milk. Then I'm like, "Ooooh, ranch dressing. Whoops, my bad."

insert the word "lactase" in there,an enzyme that breaks down the lactose in milk. your info is accurate

i told this same thing to a girl before and she got SOOOOOOO pissed at me. I was going to say the same thing though, like exactly. i thought i was lactose intolerent for like 1 year. then i was like, "skrew this, i love milk" and now i drink it religiously.

anyway, if you expect to feel sick, you will.
