Real life? What is that?
Graphics are good, gameplay sucks. Overhyped IMO.

(If this is against the rules.. Someone please tell me? Can't see how)

Hey,

So I was looking at this picture, zoom closer on the dome-like structure in the foreground (most visible in the top image). Notice the checkboard/graphpaper-esque texture? This shape and this texture instantly reminded me of something from Ace Combat. And that something is radar domes. See the similarity? Now, I know this is pretty much a blind stab in the dark, but I'm really seeing it... And if these ARE radar domes, who's to say they aren't human-made? I mean, Bungie's proven that they don't get lazy with their alien civilizations and give them human-type architecture ( Well.. Maybe the Mayans.

Yeah, it's 1:34 AM, maybe I'm totally off-base here.. But come on, the similaritie's there, right???

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

The only similarities between the two are the fact that they are spherical. From what I can see I can only assume the objects to be domes (at least, they could be a complete sphere), and a dome is hardly a rare structural design in engineering. I think we should wait for more evidence until we leap to these conclusions, but nice hypothesis.

I think the most interesting part of the picture are the shadows to the right of the dome in the second image.

What of the texture?

What do you mean?

I am...whimsical today.

I'd assume that the texture is simply a placeholder, rather than any specific detail.

Zoom in on the texture on the structure in the Waiting For Destiny image.

You sure? Everything else in the scene seems so.. Complete.

On a second look, I'm not sure I can defend the placeholder idea as readily as I thought I'd be able to.
That said, the pattern may simply be due to the construction of the dome, rather than indicative of its usage. As far as I'm aware, the pattern on radar domes is less a requirement for the operation of the radar, but more a structural requirement of the dome itself.

Ehh, Doesn't really look that conclusive to me. I think we need to pace ourselves here, often times people discover things like this (Destiny) and rush ahead to find hidden things in little sneak peaks, and while I am sure that Bungie would encourage that, we shouldn't start drawing crazy out of the blue comparisons.
