Would you move to another country? You could keep your mod status but maybe not get online as much, because of the bad internet connection, and time difference to your friends.

Why would I have to move if I became a mod?

Yeah. Why would he have to move if he became a moderator?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

But yes, I would, it wouldn't matter.

But, I like living in America and I have no intention of leaving the country.

I wouldn't see the point in moving to a different country just because I was/became a forum moderator.

OP was badly phrased.

If you were a Bungie moderator, and the opportunity to move to another country arose (independant of Bungie.net), would you do it?

I think so. I believe the OP is asking if you would move to another country (for reasons independent of b.net) as a moderator knowing that the time difference will result in you being on b.net during hours of decreased activity.

We have a lot of international mods, I don't see the big deal.

I see. If I were a moderator and the opportunity to move countries arose, then it would depend on the location. If I were to be presented with a move to Canada or some American states, I'd likely take it. However, places in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America, Africa... not so much.

That what we're getting at?

It's not like being a moderator on this site would stop me from moving. I'd sooner turn down moderator status than choose to stay in this horrible country just to keep banning tools.

It wouldn't really make a difference. As Ken said, there is already a spread in the timezones mods are active in.

Depends on the opportunity. I don't see how the two things relate... ? Did you hit the pub early today?

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

I would not want to moderate these forums at all.

Hey Tuff, na man I'm not at the pub today, for a change.

I was wondering more what the impact of being a mod would bear on your decision to move.

None at all. Why would it?

It is just being a moderator on a website, LOL.

That should not change your views on moving.

Probably not.

Canadian internet is just fine for me!

But in all seriousness I wouldn't be obsessed with it, I would just give it to someone else. I mean moving to another location without friends and family near you just for a rank on the internet doesn't seem worth it to me.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

Since there exists international moderators I would have zero problem with it.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I can't ever see the need to make this decision arising. At least not for me.

  • 01.06.2012 9:58 AM PDT

Well, no, it wouldn't phase me really. In fact, I would imagine I wouldn't even think about it being a problem to be honest.

Go away.

I wouldn't want to be a moderator. The repetitive trolls would drive me crazy.

because of the bad internet connection
Depending on the destination country/locality, I might gain access to a faster internet connection than the one I currently have. I expect that would be true for a lot of Americans (we have pretty -blam!- internet here in comparison to the top performers).

Anyway, to answer your question, it would not affect my decision at all.

  • 01.06.2012 10:22 AM PDT

I would move next door to Qbix and steal whatever he puts out into the trash can.
