Subject: (Primordium Spoilers!) What will happen in the 3rd Forerunner book IYO

Title says it all, what do you think will happen in the 3rd Foreruuner book? Hopefully all the loose ends get resolved. Such as, the Timeless One is revealed to be a Gravemind, not a Precursor. Does this mean that the Flood and Precursors are not really the same? And if so, are there still living Precursors? Is 343 really still alive in 2553, along with the Didact and Libraian, due to the ending of Primordium transmission from the UNSC-Forerunner ship AI saying it knows where "she" is? Hopefully these questions will be answered. What do you think?

Halo Cryptum
Halo Primordium
Halo Malovium?

Well if it's anything like Cryptum and Primordium then over half the book will be boring as hell and finally get to the tech stuff at the end.

Although there are great tidbits of haloverse information in this book trilogy it just really feels like unrelated content. The whole geas, names and lack of action/technology combined with the pacing of the books just doesn't strike a cord with me.

I'm hoping the last book in this trilogy brings the mystery, action and technology back to the Halo books.

It'll probably lead into Halo 5 somehow.

Timeless One = Precursor = Gravemind

The Primordial was a gravemind created from a certain race of precursor.

And i think the next book is going to be about the didact or librarian.

As far as playing out why Monitors call humans reclaimers (remember it was Primordium that "made" humans reclaimers of the mantle "through long study", not the forerunners...initially). I believe a small part of the book-very small-will mention something along the lines of the Didact telling the Council that they ultimately paid their price in the hands of the Preursors/Prim/Flood, accepted their defeat and programming their monitors and installations with the...idea?...that humans are forerunners (Child of my makers...) as like an act of reconciliation. Afterwards, banishing themselves from the galaxy (or died from the halo array). closer to the end i'm sure.

regardless there has to be an explanation why Forerunners/FR Monitors and not the Precursors named, whether forced or not, Humanity reclaimers.

ps I know the Primordium named humans reclaimers. but what made FR call them as well?

idk.

perhaps the forerunners/FR monitors and the Precursors, knowing about the flood threat. and that they themselves may not survive decided that the humans would be the reclaimers. Since humans are the only known species who are world builders. Excluding the Forerunners. Maybe they aren't necessary reclaimers of their technology but reclaimers of the flood, since humans are the ones who had created the flood in the first place

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

We didn't really MAKE the Flood. The Precursors made the powder.

True but we were the first to encounter them. We also tried to breed them, and train them. To make them as our pets but because of our aggressive nature, they turned aggressive. So even though we didn't create them, we are the reason why they are what they are now. So perhaps the forerunners intended to make us suffer even more for causing them to possibly go extinct.
