Do you think that the site needs more rules, or is it good as is?

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

They're fine as is. They allow the mods plenty of wiggle room. Adding more rules only makes the system more rigid. Now, mods can ban you if they feel that you have broken the general set of rules, where as before, the rules had all kinds of little things in them that made the mod's lives harder.

Simple is better.

New rules will be added if certain issues arise and they are needed. However, at this time I find them to be perfect the way they are.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I don't think we need more rules.

Who the hell do you think I am?

I'm pretty sure they're fine the way they are now.

OT:

No, we don't need more rules

I think the rules we have now cover just about everything.

Unless something comes up, I think we should only simplify.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I would only agree on new rules if they directly contradicted old ones :)

(that means no new rules)

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

The current rule-set was created so that we wouldn't have to add any more rules. It really does cover everything.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

More rules are bad.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

We used to have the super long rules that tried to cover everything. The newer system is much better.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

You know if there were more rules you'd get practice your banhammer swing more. You could use the exercise.

Not necessarily. Adding more rules would put a larger emphasis on what's explicitly stated as "out of bounds" and would take away from the moderator's ability to use their own discretion. A lot of discussions don't fall into a black or white category, therefore the rules need to remain vague so the mods can make case-by-case decisions.

HACK THE PLANET!

I really liked what they did with the new rules. I don't see a reason to change.

Spread the love...

I don't think there is any need for more rules. Maybe if a new rule-breaking trend pops up or something, but not now.

OT: Meh, they seem to work fine right now. I agree with those that've said they will be changed if, and most likely only if, necessary.

If a trend was "rule-breaking" there would already have to be rules prohibiting whatever was being done to be broken. Therefore new rules would be redundant.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Unless there's a legitimate call for a new rule (that isn't obviously expressed in the CoC/ToU), then there's really no reason to continue adding onto the list for no reason.

The tl;dr of the rules are simply, "use common sense;" and it should stay like that.

It becomes a sudden trend to post spam.
The Mods realize this, and make a new rule saying that if you make more than one thread a day, you will be banned.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

I think they need to be a little more slack, I see lots of users get banned when I don't think they deserved it. If you're not trolling, or being a jerk, you probably shouldn't be banned.
