Is it ever right to quit a game?
As anyone can see by my k/d, I suck at MM. But when I played Anniversary Classic today, I did ok - I even had a positive k/d in a couple of games.
However, my point is this - in one game it was obvious I was seriously outmatched. It got to the stage I would respawn - assassinated, respawn - shot, respawn - blown up etc.
So I quit, I just wasn't making any headway.
Now, was I right to quit? I think so, do you?

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

In my opinion, if you feel you're perhaps bringing your teammates score down because you consistently keep dying, I think it's common courtesy to do so; or at least hide.

I wouldn't worry about your own performance, since there is no incentive to win in Reach(ranked games) then I'd just have fun and play your own game.

I'm either completely dominating the other team or getting my ass handed to me. I'm a crap player anyway, but honestly I feel like I'm not being matched with players of my caliber. Even though rank doesn't say everything about a player, I've been pitted against General ranked or better guys and all I got on my team were a few captains and a recruit.

Oh yeah - you're the guy wanting his a.ss sniffed.
But OK Jose, you're right, I am -blam!- at MM.
And here's another thing - is Anniversary MM easier (because of the pistol)?

I guess quitting sometimes is the better route, but how many times can you without the frustration of being banned there is only one clear path and become a better player as time goes on which can be frustrating also. Good Luck.

OP - if its a team situation, and you have an evenly matched players - try and hang in there. Stay with team mates, or even resort to following teamates - also dont go into a fight alone - the odds are better to get a kill when there are two of you to fight. If the game goes south fast and your getting pummled, it may be best to hide and wait for the enemy come to you - essentially camp, when all else fails. You'd be surprised how blase bored players get when they cant find anyone to kill - there confidence goes up and their awareness goes down. If team mates bail on you, and your in a 2v4 situation or worse, there is nothing wrong with leaving the game. I am by no means the authority on Reach, just an average player giving advice. Regards an good luck.

Thanks for the advice, guys.
I reckon I'll cut down on the Firefight and try harder at the MM - things can only get better.
