Why is hypocrite spelled with an E at the end?
The I in crite is not pronounce as eye.

So, on the one hand I spell it out exactly as it should be.
You follow the standard set before you by fools who can't even get a handle on the rules of their own language.

Why continue to post then?

It's obvious that you take the game far too seriously, and expect everybody else to be just as sweaty and unsociable as you are.

However, here in the real world, we have something called a sense of humor.

Nothing good to say about Reach, nothing good to say about life. Adolescence at its finest.

I also expected you to ignore my reply. You only want people to agree with you and then use the hate you'd get in this thread as "evidence" to prove your point.

Sorry, it doesn't work like that and you are still as wrong as it gets.

Just quoting so the OP does not miss this.

"It is not a goal, but a process. The process of creating the perfect world."

Reach has declined for a variety of factors. Personally I actually think that designing Reach with competitive players as a mere afterthought killed long term interest in the game.

Sure, these updates may have temporarily attracted a more diverse crowd, but those type of people are the ones who toy with every new game until a newer, shinier one emerges. Then they abandon the game. Meanwhile the game designed with those very people in mind drives off the competitive players who would otherwise stick with it. All that remains are Halo die-hards, people who dislike other available FPS's, and assorted others fading in and out of play.

MLG has little to nothing to do with it, and the remnant competitive crowd as a whole actually SAVED the game IMO by not giving up on it and demanding the series return to its core.

Casuals who have stuck around have done their own lot of good in keeping Reach afloat, but it was casual-centric design choices on Bungie's behalf that did the most internal damage to the Reach community, IMO. Those decisions cut the number of players who played H1, H2, and H3 longterm by a sizable number. They also damaged Halo's credit as a decent competitive experience. Call of Duty becoming the mega-hit it is today also plays a significant role.

I had the same attitude as many of you here when I was younger. I'm now 24 and far from taking it more seriously I'm more relaxed and suggesting tryhards take the same route.

Your humor is echoed by many, your opinions are the same. Don't be a sheep.

Quite ironic coming from the guy who said that "tryhards ruined Halo"

If you want to pretend to be a social kid, at least stop caring so much about the state of your game.

Are you sitting by your monitor in hope I admit defeat in this 'internetz' debate?

In this forum casuals are the minority, I didn't expect anyone to agree with me. I made this thread for people like me sick of seeing anyone and everyone being judged by their MLG abilities.

Unrelated but I thought MLG stood for Major League Gaming(or something similar)...the biggest lulz come from the fact everyone who plays it has no affiliation with MLG and there are NO 'pros' playing it. Pathetic.

It seems that you're mad.

Understandable.

I would be mad too if I couldn't understand half of the words the other person was saying.

I am mad and want to blame people that are better than me for supposedly ruining a game that hasn't been ruined.

No. You made this thread and now you're evidently afraid to talk about the very topic you inspired.

You've been proven wrong. There really isn't anything more for me to do here, I was just expecting a little more resistance. After all, you did seem fairly confident in your argument.

Yes, so open-minded for one with such wisdom...

You made this thread because you were mad. Nothing more, nothing less.

Can you explain what exactly I have to be made about??? I was making observations of the community and trying to explain the current state of Halo and these forums.

You seem to be brainwashed by your digital MLG heroes. Learn some life skills and stop defending those who have none.

It's "sad" because he plays video games and makes 120,000 a year?
Bull-blam!-, if you could do nothing but play games (while having fun doing it) and make money doing it. You would. Also, the "who???" just shows your stupidity. Not only do you not play the MLG playlist. You have no idea what the community or gameplay is like. Fail.

You want a sandwich? Sure. As long as you don't mind me putting poison in it.

Yeah. I use the AR, so what? All you can do is scream and rage about me using the weapon.

He's going on about tryhards killing the Halo community and whatnot yet if you look in another thread about K/D he's going on about the people's K/D in that thread and judging them by it.

Hypocritical much?

I think you aspire to be MLG pro because you have the IQ of a squirrel. MLG - Inspiring a generation of nerds to false belief you can actually make a career in playing games. You have such high opinions of these 'pros'. I suggest getting posters of your favorite players... what fine young role models they are.

You should take a step back and realize why the MLG is there. Maybe it's to make kids like you play games they associate with more.

Keep dreamin' boy.

Here's some facts about a MLG pro.

Tsquared has been featured on MTV's documentary series True Life: I'm a Professional Gamer and on Icons, as well as in The Wall Street Journal, among other publications. He also appeared as part of Stuff magazine's list of 20 most influential people under the age of 30 in August 2006. He also makes occasional appearances on X-Play, giving out tips for various online games.
In 2008-2009, Tsquared appeared on over 175 million Dr. Pepper bottles issued across the United States as part of a promotional sponsorship to increase awareness of MLG.
He was signed to a US$250,000 contract by Major League Gaming (MLG). and earns between $120,000 and $150,000 each year in prize money and endorsement deals.

How did tryhards kill Halo? There has always been more social players than competitive ones yet the game is barely surviving. If Reach was a good game, there would still be lots of social and competitive people playing it. Tryhards didn't kill Halo(Reach), Bungie did.

And you weren't defending someone. You said "Judging by your stats you should retract that statement. You're nearly the same as the OP"

That was not defending in my books.
