I drew these maps/drawings by hand
Big Cave part one
A cave with two floor levels, very large, but easy to get around on. Plenty of walkays to each level. Theres gonna be a lot of walking. The tunnel in the far right of the picture leads into the area on my next drawing.
Big Cave part two
This is what appears to be a Forerunner installation to moniter(sp?) the Halos from a distance withou being harmed by the blast if the rings' weapon. A stalagmite puncturing the flooting glass floor. A massive spherical room with some old Forerunner tech thats not as up to date as the Halos. A few ran down sentinals also lie here from running out of power.(they got to run on something!). Large lights are bilt into the supports to brighten the large room and the Daimond like thingys are for reflecting into the outer cave and for energy. Which seem to be charged by the lights.
As for making/creating maps there should be a database in which you submit your ready to play map. you can download maps from this database. As opposed to the map dowloading system in FarCry, whereas you download the map before you join, which takes an incridubly(sp?) long time. The maps will still take awhile to download. If you join a game where you dont have the host's player created map you can go to your recent players list(friends or clan) and select the host's Gamertag, then select the map you want to download created by the host. Although, once you start downloading it would send you to the main menu so that it does not interfear with the current game.
Your thoughts? (i dont think would fit too well in the ideas thread)
