Every man has his price unfortunately mine is minimum wage.

You did a good job on Reach, The game was a bold step in a new direction, som things were different but not neseccarily worse, so I just want to say Thank you and I can not wait for your next game.
Anyone else agree with me here?
I am not trolling, but I am sure I am about to get flamed so bring it.

Forget it man, and get with the countdown. Shake this square world and blast off for Kicksville.

Reach host ranking algorithm: (a*quit_percentage + b*isMexican + c*(1/KDR) + d*hasGuest) * 100
where a > b = d > c

Lol.

Anyone else agree with me here?

Agreed. But needs serious work to make it what it should have been.

(because bugie got booted from halo)

Bungie did not get booted from Halo. Their 10 year contract with Microsoft ended.

Hehehe. You're both incorrect. Bungie felt it was time to strike out on their own. MS demanded 2 more Halo titles in a specific timeframe before they'd release Bungie. Enter ODST which was originally going to be a minigame but ended up bigger. Add in Reach (which had been planned for a while), which IS a step in a different direction. I am not going to argue whether it's a good step or a bad step because all that is pure conjecture. I can't blame Bungie for not supporting Reach as they should have simply because they knew long before that it had to be turned over.

bungie did quit the series early (quit ban - ironic).

But guess you are referring to articles like this quote "Microsoft realized that the IP Bungie had created was far more valuable than the developer itself" ... guess looking back we can see how true this has fallen.

Whats bungies leading title at the moment, something about 'pirates' isnt it?!?

Oh, I'm not arguing that they bailed early, just the supposed reasons behind it. (quit ban reference - lmao)

I didn't get my info from an article... but yes, Bungie wanted out and you know Billy... he's going to hold on to ANY valuable property like a pit bull on a steak...

But given that;
- Microsoft paid for it once (and more than other bidders at the time, including Activision) ...
- and that bungie are off to join the competition (both publisher and playforms) ...
why would Microsoft not keep what is theirs?

Just dont know why bungie had to be stupid about the whole thing.
They could have gone their own title development from a sub-studio (or even co-owned studio) ... but nope, narrow thinking ruled the day.

They could have gone their own title development from a sub-studio (or even co-owned studio) ... but nope, narrow thinking ruled the day.

It wasn't the first time that narrow-mindedness caused a crappy decision or two. Wont be the last either.

"COD" ?!? whats this got to do with COD??
Dont you want to share that jelly about.

And who states "You have NO rights" as a web site slogan.

Who implemented more bans is a single game than any before it (even though they knew what areas needed fixing from past titles, yet rather than fix the problems and help everyone/the game - they chose to implement ineffective bans).

If people in the real world come at you with attitude and ineffectual solutions do YOU welcome them or isolate them?
(given the way the Indie community have avoided aerospace it looks like 'isolation' is the policy of choice).
