there are a lot of stories in the bible that can be related to other stories. Not necessarily on purpose but I think this one was on purpose.

In response to XilReborn:

I like the idea of a few "pure souls" surviving. There is clear evidence that the Rings have been fired off once (I believe that the Monitor of Delta Halo states that the installation went through serveral simulated and one actual firing). If that is true, all life in the galaxy would be dead, but obviously it isn't. Perhaps the way the HALOs work isn't exactly what we think; maybe it kills people in a different way than simply a large explosion. Sergeant had some disease that made him immune to the Flood infection; is it possible that the Forerunner designed the rings to kill everybody but a select few with a certain genetic defect/mutation/defense?

that's an arrogant statement. Especially to be making in a thread discussing halo's possible connection to the bible.

I was replying to the dude that said the bible was fake

And Narnia is a curiously religous movie.

but my theory adds up compared to the noahs ark theory. an entire armada, an entire army, an entire country could become invincible. who ever touches or even looks at it will be disintegrated. that explains the covie fleet flying away from the artifact in the trailer. and plus, what kind of game developer would suggest a wooden boat appear out of nowhere where an entire army survives the flood and everybody lives happily ever after. why not be invincible, activate the rings to rid the flood and then life starts over.

I've read a very good theory about the ark over at HBO a while back. Note that this is not my idea, I'm just converying information.
Alright, first of all, the ark is a space ship. It is designed by forrunners (humans) to carry several sperm and egg specimens from every species. At that stage of life, they would be too small to be considered food for the flood, and not wiped out by the Halos. This ship would go to each plannet and possibly send down drop-ships or pods with the various creatures, these would repopulate the planets. But most likely, something went wrong and the humans were sent to Earth, not their home planet, but some kind of nature preserve, while prophets ended up on the human planet.

MAY I POINT OUT THAT YOU HAVE WAY TO MUCH TIME ON UR HANDS!!!! IF SOMEWHERE IN THE BIBLE IT HAS A LIST OF JASON JONES AND THE ENTIRE HALO 2 & HALO 3 TEAM ....... THAN I WILL BELIEVE THAT WORD FOR WORD

“But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God..."

Panther, your mostly right on with a couple of theorys that are conveyed in Soulguard and Mr. Clarks FanFictions. Indeed after the last firing of the halo's, the ark may have been used either to re-seed mankind, or the reclaimers within the ark (protected from the Halo "death ray", if not for a better term) to repopulate Earth. As in Soulguards FanFic, the Ark would have been hidden (as is the biblical Ark(s) ).

I think the plot in Halo 3 might partially consist of the finding of the Ark in an african desert and racing the covenant to access it.

However, there will be a twist, as only a reclaimer OR the holder of the key can have access. The biblical Ark of the Convenant, only priests highly trained in the methodology laid out by God would be able to enter the room holding the Ark once a year. If the priest were to faulter from the exact method of sacrificing the animals, etc., they would be struck down by God. Knowing this, priests would have a rope tied around thier waist should they misstep and be struck down. The priests outside would time the priest inside and if it got quite for a long time, they would drag the body back out. If I recall correctly, some foolish sons of Moses attempted to make thier own offering within the room (actually a tent) that the Ark of the Covenant was in. In entering, they boys were struck down and killed. No word on how they got the bodies out...

Anyhow, I think most of you can see certain symbolisms. I am uncertain of how far Bungie will take it, but I would consider that there will be a twist at which point either the chief or the prophets attempt to enter the ark.

what would be so wrong if the game's plot was based on my theory, it was the muslims themselves carry the Arc of the Covenant. They both workout. Muslims believe in a lot of the same things Christians do.

no it is amazing how you think because I dont know where you are from but mostly everybody on these forums are from the US. There for our culture is based mostly off Christianity and the branches of it. Religion is what defines who we are and how we think. If this was an Islamic society then same goes for them.

Really. The thread starter made you read this topic? (I'd like to know how it's possible to force someone to do something over the internet) If you think the idea is stupid guess what? You could've passed over the topic and not responded.
