I'm assuming that all of us here know of Bungie's 7 steps to World Domination. In this it vaguely states:

Posted by: Bungie
Step 7
Take over world, shoot enemies into the sun with giant slingshot.

I was wondering if Bungie has ever pointed out who their enemies are or a specific facet of people who aren't their enemies. I'm hoping we can come to some sort of consensus if this hasn't been stated yet as it will be helpful for something I'm cooking up for all of ya' in the coming weeks.

Edit:
I'm looking for help in establishing a set of variables that would allow me to define who an enemy of Bungie is. Something that could be researched and eventually numbered. I will then use this information for a project.

Edit 2:
I'm going to settle with "The World" as it fits my needs. Thanks all who replied.

Edit 3:
Well it looks like my plan to make a applied physics post about the giant sling-shot has been foiled. Here is a post similar to the one I was planning, posted back in 09'.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

-Opposing game studios
-Microsoft
-Pudding companies

Good start. Quick question, would we consider all in those companies an enemy or the the top echelon?

Late pizza deliver guys. The taxman. The players who refuse to take a serious look a Halo as a game, just because it's Halo. That anti video game people. That delicious but old Chinese food that deceivingly still tastes good, but gave you that horrible stomach ache. Et cetera...

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

I'm going with Activision. Why else would Bungie ally themselves with such a company.

Could I go as far to say everyone who has not played Halo would be considered an enemy? I could use sales stats to come up with a number of "Friends of Bungie".

Bungie is a very friendly organization, although id have to say Apple is their enemy. Wasn't Halo CE originally intended for Macintosh? I am sure Apple was kicking themselves all last decade for not capitalizing on the cash cow Halo was.

Not really. I mean, if you said that, you'd also have to say everyone who has bought a used copy of Halo and everyone who hasn't played Gnop!, Myth, Marathon, Oni and so on.

They're actually friendly to competing game companies.

Apple has been good to Bungie, most of Bungie's game were EXCLUSIVE to Apple computers.

Posted by: Izak609Hmm, How about these variables to determine "friendliness":

-In the Video Games Industry
-Players of video games
-Members of production companies affiliated with Bungie

These are variables that could be found with a quick search. Do you think there are some more that I'm missing?

The list of friends would be longer than the list of enemies. You'd have to include pizza delivery guys that show up early, awesome Chinese food, members of the Bungie.net community, and so so on and so so so so forth.
