Subject: Can people who read Primordium and Glasslands fill me in?

I'm pretty excited for Halo 4, but I don't have the time to finish reading Glasslands or the other, more recent books in the Halo series. I've been far to busy with my highschool work to read them.

Can anyone fill me in on what's going on? I've seen many comments on youtube about things like "precurses" and ancient "human-forerunner war" that I know nothing about and i'm a bit confused.

We should know better, because we are better.

There was an Ancient Human Empire alongside the Forerunenr Empire. We fought the Flood much earlier then the Forerunners and won. We then started a war against the Forerunners to try and get new worlds to make up for the ones we lost in our battle against the Flood. We lost to the Forerunners who devolved us into a dozen or so sub-species and imprisoned our remnants on Earth.

I haven't read Glasslands yet, but I have finished Primordium. Although, a monstrous amount of things go on in that book. I'd be here all night explaining it.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

Halo 4 comes out in a little under a year. You can read the books during your breaks, nights, summer.

Pretty much this; it'd take too long to fill you in, and even then we'd probably either forget something important, or otherwise inadequetly explain it. Best to read the books imo.

An assassin will always carry on, even after death.

Quick summary of Glasslands(there's a lot left out):

ONI wants to stir up a civil war with the Elites.
Some Elites want to finish off Humans, others don't.
The characters become much more realistic and have much more depth added to them.
Spartan IV program mentioned.
New Insurrection on at least one planet(Venezia).
Lucy regains her voice and punches Halsey for harassing a huragok.
UNSC Infinity is a ship that uses the latest technology gained from the Forerunners and Covenant during the war.
Spartan II are allowed to look at their files to find out who their parents are, if they want.
Philips(he's a scientist who can speak the Elite's language) is invited to Sanghelios by the Arbiter.
Lord Hood and the Arbiter agree a peace deal on Sanghelios.
The book ends with explosions of unknown source on Sanghelious.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Sure: Read it yourself.

I don't mean to be a jerk .... but Halo 4 isn't going to be out for nearly 11 months are you really telling us you can't find the time to read the books?

Or end up arguing, over what is right and what is wrong.
