Subject: The Lifespans of forerunners

yea yea yea. I completely know and understand what the book tells us about ones like the Librarian being like 11k years old, but a few questions...

1. how long is a year? Is the "AI Translator" translating the amount of "Forerunner years" to "Human/earth years"? (Kinda like God created the earth is 7 days, but how long was a day for Him?)

2.Is their a possibility that the actually "body" of a forerunner not live for that long, but the "spirit" caused by mutations are what they actually accounting for the lifespan?

#2 I base this question on this: Bornsteller, after receiving the didact's Imprint, started to look like the Didact, and then for all intent and purposes became the Didact. Born also stated that it looked like Faber was the mentor for his Father's last mutation, that his father resembled the Master Builder. Could the librarian have done the same, constantly Imprinting younger ones so, in turn, live longer?

(Note-I am at work with no access to my book atm so no page numbers. Ill get them if you want)

At the end of Cryptum, how OLD was the Librarian's Body?

Could the Didact been passing his imprint to a few hundred Manipulars before exiling himself to the Cryptum, and finally imprinting Bornsteller?

If Bornsteller's Father is still alive after the capital was halo-inized, would it make sense that the Master Builder still, in essence, be alive?

11k human years, I think.
Anyway I think Forerunners could live indefinitely if they come to no harm in any un-natural way. Their armor appears to prevent any form of aging after a certain age.

This; despite her age, Born couldn't help but think of "youth" when he saw Librarian.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

I thought they could pretty much live forever, considering how sturdie their suites are. ;~; were do I order for one of those?

Again, I understand what the book says. I knew the first few replies where going to be just that lol. So, now the Didact is like 12 years old now? You guys understand what I'm saying?

Example, The Librarian recognized Didact-Imprinted Bornsteller as THE DIDACT-HER HUSBAND. When he didn't understand this, she says something like "you are all I have left, you are him" This is when Born says "My Wife!" like the older Didact was fully triggered, and in turn he Became him. Like the Didact, the one from the Cryptum never went anywhere (or died)

the only reason Didact took over bornstellar was because is was twelve years old thus he couldn't handle the Didact's personality. When adult forerunners get normal mutations they are able to keep themselves intact so the physical appearance gets the major change.

People need of understand the circumstances of bornstellars transformation along with brevet and normal mutations.

Thank you, these phrases almost lead us (or just me) to believe my theory.

I know all the stuff about armor keeping them alive but what if the armor is their also to help make that mutation necessary, as well as being a life support system and all that, as part of the reason it says they live so long?

Again, how long does the body really stay alive, not the individual forerunner? Not the thoughts, the memories, but the actual body?

We don't know enough about their biology, physiology or habits to comment.

Thanks Grey. I did forget about the mutation actually being brevet and its differences. Like I said, I understand what the book says I just wanted to through a theory out there. with all the "hoops" the writers through at you, I wanted to think way outside the box. think differently.
