H2 and CEs campaigns were the only ones I liked.

HALO 3, Odst and H2 were the bst reach gave you the cold shoulder to every big battle that happened.

Xenoblade <3

I actually agree. Halo 3's campaign was bad.

  • 01.09.2012 7:32 AM PDT

Lol

Reach campaign was full of cliche's and none of the characters deaths honestly made any sense. Why stay in a covenant ship and commit suicide? Why turn your back and let an elite stab you in the back? Why not expect to be sniped if your standing still for a long period of time?

  • 01.09.2012 7:38 AM PDT

Apples and oranges, imo.

H1-3: Good games, had good long plots, and very few problems but were slowly paced, and one could even say repetitive (in reference to H:CE).

ODST&Reach: These games feel like Halo's take on a tactical shooter, especially with odst's camera bob when you crouchwalk.

Reach was a toned down version of ODST, but i still had a blast playing it.

In my opinion( MINE not everyone else's) Halo CE had a great campaign with a lot of gameplay time, but it became repetitive.

Halo 2 added a heap of new functions and weapons while giving us new graphics and gameplay elements, I liked its campaign more then Halo CE's,especially its easter eggs, but it wasn't as long.

Halo 3 gave us back the assault, but nerfed...a lot, gave us a few new weapons and gave us equipment and new vehicles and new graphics, gameplay was great and with skulls that stay unlocked it was a heap of fun,it gave us a lot of combat scenarios (E.G vehicle battles, stealth, flood and head on), but it had an even shorter length.

H3 ODST had the right idea, but implemented wrong, the battle were to scripted on the streets and the gameplay wasn't as fun and it lacked several key elements. It had a good story, and an extra story for people who put the effort in to find it, shortest story so far.

In Halo Wars, you were given a RTS and I have to say, I liked it, only problem was that you had a lot of limitations with what you could build, and it didn't give you really any customisation options, its campaign took awhile but not too long, just longer then H2.

Reach was meant to be great, but it was cut short. Their wasnt enough variety in combat like in Halo 3, wasn't as long as halo CE and didn't have fun easter eggs like H2. It did have an extra story, but I found this extremely dull and it lead to no where.

Well that's my opinion, read it or don't.

ODST arguably had the best campaign in the Halo series.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

my friend thinks Reachs campaign is amazing. he loves noble six and the rest of noble team.

he hates master chief and his voice. he dilikes all the previous campaigns and calls them boring/stupid.

do you agree with him? or disagree?

I think he is out if his mind

Halo 2 and Halo 3 are my two favourite shooters of all time. Halo 2 has amazing gameplay and storytelling, and Halo 3 has great gameplay but it is a little short. I think ODST and Reach are good though

Although I hate Halo CE

  • 01.09.2012 8:34 AM PDT

Why does everyone love Halo 2? Gameplay wise, it was alright. But the story was a pile of dung.

Only thing wrong with CE was its repetitive level design.

My preference for campaigns

Halo 2 > Halo CE > ODST > Halo 3 > Halo Wars > Reach

They just could have made it better, like given Noble Team more personality (except for Jorge, he was developed pretty nicely IMO).

Also, being a Noble Team would have helped too...name one level where every single Noble member was on the ground fighting with you.

That's right...there ISN'T a level as such...and Jun being in the falcon in Winter Contingency doesn't count.

If I like you enough, I'll mail you a Subway Sandwich. If I hate you, expect a -blam!- nuke.

All I have to say to the title is no... that will be all.

Halo 3 campaign was the worst out of all of them.

Reach's campaign revolved around pushing buttons, a supposed epic battle feeling like small skirmishes, and uninteresting and/or annoying characters. It had so much potential, but it failed IMO.

For me campaign wise it goes Halo 2>Halo CE>Halo 3>Halo ODST>Halo Wars>Halo Reach. I've played the Halo 2 campaign easily 10x more than any other game I've even touched. Including ones with multiple endings.

Multiplayer wise for me it's Halo Reach>Halo 2>Halo 3>Halo CE>Halo ODST>Halo Wars. ODST probably would have been pretty interesting multiplayer wise, but the only multiplayer on it is firefight and co-op campaign.

Ummm...what? ODST was pretty much Halo 3 in terms of gameplay. Save for reduced jump height and a few other very minor changes, the two essentially played the same way.

OT: Reach's campaign was easily the worst. There were a number of things wrong with it, but the most memorable fault for me were the bland characters and half-baked "emotional" plot.

I'm all for a tragic, character-oriented plot, but Reach just did a terrible job of it.
