MROS (Mindless Rabble of Scientists) - A group to discuss any aspect of science

This Community Forum is home to the members of the Bungie Community. For the time being, they are players of many games. Until I can drive your attentions to a Bungie game, you are all welcome to play and talk about whatever you want. Use this website and this community as your social lounge to enjoy the company of each other in any game that is worth playing. There will be no locked threads.

So, who wants to play?

Well who DOES want to play?

Let's be honest, we'll never go to The Classifieds to see who wants to play with us.

Let's be honest, we'll hardly ever join a group to see who wants to play with us.

Anybody got any bright ideas about how we could do this in the community forum? Perhaps a thread that could work like a game setup thread in a private group? they don't work in groups because there isn't enough love, but in here?

(N.B. this is a thread asking for suggestions, Murdur thought I was whining so I thought I'd clarify that for you all)

I'm willing to lay down a mean game of Monopoly if anyones interested.

I'm not sure what the problem is, if you want to start up a community game night you make a thread about it and thats that.

Yes, but why are game setup threads made in private groups?

They are made because that way people don't spam the forum.

I was thinking about this too. I don't have any great ideas at the moment, but I know what *doesn't* work. The Classifieds is a great idea but its implemented in the form of a forum. When someone comes to the site, if they're looking for games and people to play with there needs to be an easy-to-use, intuitive interface to see who's currently playing (Bungie's current game). If it doesn't integrate with an in-game messaging system, then its not going to work.

EDIT: Oh, and I play Halo Reach on the reg. Feel free to PM me if interested. DMR starts only. :)

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think it is efficient that anyone who wants to advertise on the community forums and housewares goes through Community Carnage and Deej first. It makes it so there is no competing groups at once and keeps the forums clean.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

It seems that anyone who comes to the community forum asking for someone to do something with them gets their thread locked, but anyone who frames it as a community event is allowed to host it. That is unless DeeJ is saying that the community forum is now for game finding too.
