Subject: I hope Bungie takes their time.

They have been taking their time. This next project has been in the works for over two years. I'm sure we'll get an announcement some time this year. And it will probably be released somewhere in 2013. My predictions seem pretty general, but it's the best I can come up with given such little information.

ECOH Cam's predictions are facts.

Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

No Reach was not Bungie's worst game. Everyone here hyped up Reach way to much. There was no chance in hell it was going to live up to all of that. It was and still is a great game.

Seriously? Halo Reach was not that bad of a game.

It was a great game -- I'm not going to lie. However, in comparison to Bungie's previous works, I thought it was one of their worst.

I thought that they had been working on Destiny for longer than that, and that they had started before Reach was released or perhaps announced?

This. They said that once they got Reach's groundwork set, the Studio split. One team started on Destiny and the other worked on Reach.

Bungie has never made a bad or mediocre game. And Reach wasn't as hyped as Halo 3 but still a much better game than Halo 3. The only thing Reach lacked was the story "flare" of the trilogy.

OT: I hope Bungie takes as much time as needed for their next game. If they take time, then that means what ever they're cooking will taste good.

Key

I'm okay with them announcing something next year. Announcing doesn't necessarily have to have ANY correlation with release. They could announce it tomorrow and release it in 2015 in theory.

Halo 2 was the best Halo game
A7x FoREVer!

Bungie considers Halo 2 one of its worst projects, however it was my favorite game by them. Add in the fact that they've been working on this project much longer then post-Reach. My guess is their was a team working on this game for over a year while the majority of the studio was finishing Reach. Once Reach hit store shelves, the entire studio began working on the upcoming title.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

I remember watching the DVD that came with Halo 3 and it had some info about Bungie being hard at work, reason is that they have no time, because they are on a time limit and must finish their work before that time is over... That is just from memory, but if that is accurate than Blah.

:D
