I have around an 18-20' Acer monitor, but the problem is finding an affordable VGA-whatever for my Xbox.
For what it's worth, don't skimp on the VGA cable. I tried a cheap non-genuine cable once and got chronic image doubling.
Basic rule of thumb: spend good money on analogue cables, buy the cheapest digital cables you can find. Never ever ever buy an HDMI cable from a retail store. Biggest rip-off known to mankind (Monster-branded cables are an extreme offender).

Well damn, thats good to know.
"PC monitor" is the key term. The vast majority have effectively no signal processing, just basic brightness/contrast/saturation/colour controls. Generally speaking, HDTVs lag not because of the size but because of the amount of signal processing (sharpening, noise reduction, dynamic contrast, etc) that goes on. It takes time to perform complex math on an image, and when that image is 1080p @ 60hz (for example), the time adds up.
